Knox is moving to Oxford this summer. That came directly from Kiffin on Wednesday.

His brother, Chris, moved into a million dollar house just down the street from him earlier this year. As well... Knox is going to be in a QB battle next fall.

5th or 6th round draft picks are lucky to see the field.

Auburn has one of the worst rosters in the SEC.

Auburn had five players drafted in the 2024 NFL draft.

Not a single one of them went in the first 4 rounds of the draft.

You aren't terrible on defense. Your WR are young. 1 of 2 things happened.

1. Freeze knew he was a year away and didn't spend money on a QB in the portal trying to just survive the year and put that money in the 24 and 25 HS classes.

or

2. Freeze thought he could make Thorne into a competent QB.

Knowing Freeze's ego, it is probably #2.

Defending Auburn players to an Auburn fan is the weirdest conversation I’ve ever had here.

There are 18,500 division one football players in a given year. There are 224 draft picks each year. Any player, regardless of where they are drafted, is in the top 5% of D1 college players.

Auburn had 5 of them last year. They will have 6 or 7 this year.

Again, blaming all of Auburn’s failures on lack of talent is lazy and dishonest.

Obviously it is a coping mechanism to distract from all of the other red flags associated with Freeze.

And just where will he be? Do tell us.

Next year Aubie will have a legit OC with Freeze taking a more CEO role.

I sincerely doubt this. He has yet to do this at any of his stops.

He hired Longo then got fired. Longo became available as of yesterday. That's an option.

It's a little bit of both, IMO. Freeze didn't want to spend the $$ some of the portal QBs were demanding. He didn't want to end up paying a portal QB more than Derrick Nix & Kent Austin combined, instead he spread out the funds for the '24/'25 classes. AND he also thought by bringing in Kent Austin that they could coach Thorne up and with an infusion of talent at the WR position, Thorne would improve. I can understand Hugh's thought process, it just backfired.

Can’t tell that, (nice straw man, BTW) other than Kiffin will soon be in demand at blue blood institution … one with a much higher compensation agreement. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Have you ever thought about Freeze being a not so good HC? Might he be close to becoming Malzahn 2.0.

IDK but if the Iron Bowl comes down to a 4th and 32 please tell Freeze Frame to rush at least 3 maybe even 4

Having a few late round NFL draft picks doesn’t translate into having a talented college football team. You’re trying to thread the needle here and pretend that Freeze has massive talent to work with but it’s not working. It’s laughable. He was left with one of the least talented rosters in the SEC and is turning it around with a top 10 class last season and a top 5 class for 2025, respectively.

The two teams in the SEC Championship last season, alabama and Georgia, had 7 and 6 players go in the first 4 rounds of the 2024 draft. Auburn had none and took both of them down to the wire last season.

Trying to fire a coach in January after his first year by making up a fictitious staffer affair is a great way to ensure that coach doesn't give a shite about your roster for a year. Auburn has no one to blame for themselves but like their HC, dodging responsibility is in their DNA.

Lane Kiffin inherited a Matt Luke shite show and had Ole Miss at 10-2 and a NY6 bowl in year two.
