True. However, gonna be real tough to prove a player isn't really cramping up.

True enough, and a cramp is a legitimate injury. And sorry to repeat myself, but this:

isn't what most are talking about. See about 0:10 in.
I don't know if there's an answer even for something this awful, but a previous poster had a good idea, I think: injured player sits out the series.

I have no trouble with HUNH, I understand more players are gonna cramp, puke, have a stinger they aren't sure what is, tweak an ankle, knee or elbow. In a normal pace offense they have time to put a little weight on it, put the joint thru range of motion and determine they are ok.....like we all do when we get hurt.
Against the HUNH the coaches will instruct them that if they think they may be injured, go down, one to insure they aren't playing a play with 10 men, the other to insure a player isn't risking further injury.
The amount of dings and tweaks during a game is vast. The fans of teams with hurry up offenses should understand that the majority of the trainer visits are not for completely made up injuries, they also are visiting players that normally would not go out if they had another 30 seconds to shake it off so to speak. The booing is never ever acceptable.

Yea - there is no way to prove it. Thats the beauty of it.
The perfect crime.
It relies on the participants not being cheaters.
What if teams that were outmacthed just started doing it on the first snap to make it a 6 hour game and stay fresh vs a deeper team.

I think the refs ought to bebetter about giving defense time to get set.

I'm talking about football not soccer. Certainly if a player is hurt, he should seek assistance, even if it means hitting the turf.
A game official is not a medical professional and he must side with the person appearing to be injured.
But football is a game of honor and if a coach coaches a player to fake an injury and a player follows that instruction both have no honor.
The only people who know for sure if they are faking an injury are the coach and player. They have to live with that on their conscience.

If its a game of honor than just get in a fricking huddle and call a play.

Taken from 2011 NCAA rules Committe meeting
FEIGNING INJURIES There is considerable concern among committee members about reports of teams having their players fake injuries as a means of slowing down teams that play the game at a faster pace. The committee takes this opportunity to remind the coaching community that the faking of injuries is expressly forbidden under the Coaching Ethics section of The Football Code, paragraph 8 (page FR-13 of the 2009- 10 Rule Book).

This.
Someone make me understand why y'all think the hurry up only effects the defense?

It's minimal really. Although its generally a little tougher to chase and tackle than it is to block and run but that's about it I guess. The hurry up is designed to catch defenses out of position.

That's really the point of any good offense when you get down to it.
ETA: IGNORE THE ABOVE. NOT INTENDED FOR RANT BANTER. THANK YOU.
