Is Elko the best DC in the SEC?

He took over a defense that has been bad for years and gave us this even after playing ranked teams in Clemson, Alabama, & Kentucky.

I don't know if he is the best DC or not, but it's hard to argue that he's done the most with the least this season. And we didn't even have to guarantee with 10 million over 4 years.

The fact Elko could build a good defense at Wake is as impressive as anything he’s done at ND or A&M.

That was his point - even with those 2 games and those 2 opponents they still rank in the Top 20 in most total defense categories.
Considering Clemson is averaging 42 PPG (28 vs Aggie) and Alabama is averaging 54 PPG (45 vs Aggie) it's not awful (though Alabama could have scored 60, to be clear).
