Seems like he is starting his own legacy at Clemson, what makes bama fans so sure? Saban is less than 5 years from retirement.

If he wins another one at Clemson, he will remain at Clemson and become their Bryant/Saban.

I would have said yes, 2 years ago. Now? Nope. I can't see him leaving Clemson.

Dabo isn't going anywhere. What he has built at Clemson is special.

Not a sure thing at all. Also not a sure thing that he won’t coach Bama either like some in this thread are suggesting. Coaching careers are a fickle thing.

No, but if anyone is going to pull him away from Clemson I like our odds. I’d rather keep Saban for another 10 years though.

I don't think so. However, being an alumnus we won't know until the time comes. If he continues on this pace at Clemson I couldn't imagine him leaving to follow in Saban's footsteps. That in itself will be tough to do for any coach and likely not worth the headache/stress if you're already in a similar position.

Of course not. However, when he is asked about it, he does not say he will turn the job down. I think he would take it if offered. He will likely end up getting many offers before Saban retires. I think he would take jobs at Notre Dame, Texas, or USC if they offered also. So no, it is far from a sure thing.

He is the Clemson coach for life.
He just moved into a 15,000sq foot house.

Man, he better hurry up and take that Texas job then. He's been putting that job off going on about 8 years now.

Yes. Sure thing, plan is already in place. He will actually take a pay cut because he wants to coach a Bama so bad.

he would be dumb to leave Clemson. He built the thing there on his own. He will have it going for 20 more years and like a few more championships.

After 2020 season, Dabo becomes Bama's HC,
Saban becomes SEC Commissioner. -- R.E.C.
