Yep.
Malzahn's best years (as both an OC and a head coach) came with transfer QBs. Cam Newton was already fully developed when he came to Auburn and just needed to be unleashed. The same thing goes for Nick Marshall. Jarrett Stidham was okay, but only when he had a solid RB lining up behind him.
His other QBs have been less than remarkable.

If Mac Jones had gotten a couple more starts prior to the Iron Bowl, I doubt he ever gets a win against Alabama.

I mean, not really. Both QBs had huge questions about their accuracy coming into Auburn. Cam was labeled a bust early on, Brent Schaeffer 2.0, before Cam the narrative was that JUCO QBs never work out in the SEC bc the defenses are just too good for those sloppy seconds bums.
Nick Marshall threw for 18 TD to 20 INT in his JUCO season, granted on a terrible team, but the assertion that Marshall was fully developed as a QB before he got to Auburn is absolutely ridiculous

I wonder if he still talks to Daddy Nix after forcing allbarn on him from an early age and ultimately torpedoing his shot at professional football. As a 5 star out of HS, he could have had his pick of most any school.

Yes. And Dude is just a poor fricking leader too. It’s seems like 3 or 4 times a year Bo will frick up and then be yelling at everybody else on the sideline.
