This statement is comical. Gus Malzahn is to football offense as Biden is to standard coherency.

After a few years of Harsin putting up little to zero points in the Iron Bowl y’all will be begging for Gus to come back

He’s been frustrating to watch, for sure. Our offensive line and play calling last year were absolute garbage, my 13 year old could tell you what play they were about run more than 50% of time. If he fails to take a step forward this year, than I’d absolutely agree he’s a bust.

Bo Nix is not a bust. He’s started every game of his college career. He may not live up to his potential but he will likely start every game of his college career. He’s basically Auburn’s Freddie Kitchens if he only modestly improves over the next two years.

The thing is that we don’t know what kind of player he will be in 2021 or 2022. That will really tell the tale. But no, I do not think he will be a bust. He’s won some games. Started multiple seasons. Plenty of 5-stars never get on the football field until their 3rd stop at an FCS school.

He needs some actual coaching and a halfway decent OL. He got neither with Gus. I think he will look a little better this year being away from Gus and under an OC and HC who have a clue but it's going to take at least two recruiting cycles to fix the offensive line. Gus just flat refused to recruit linemen and the cupboard is bare now.

There is no one in AU's 2021 recruiting class that is gonna help with the OL disaster. All I see are bums.

Damn, someone is trying very hard to convince everyone that AU is going to suck. Despite the fact that AU was 6-4 with one of the most dysfunctional coaching staffs in the country and returning most of the roster. Keep trying. Lol

AU goes 6-6 or worse....ban bet? If you guys even just go 7-5 I'll ban myself. 6-6 or worse you ban yourself. Do we have a deal big shot?

Offensive philosophy likely to take a step back with the departure of Gus Malzahn

I'm not sure i agree with this. SEC teams had squarely caught on to Gus' offense. I think their offense will get better.

What would the average barner opinion of Nix be if he had these stats and played for Alabama or Georgia?
Thsi is true. If he played at UGA or Alabama most Auburn fans would be laughing and calling him a bust. I also think most Auburn fans are concerned with Nix and his development and are on the verge of labeling Nix a bust, if they haven't already. But, I'm sure most are hoping that Gus simply couldn't develop Nix and they are hoping Nix shows significant improvement under Harsin. We'll see. If he doesn't show big improvement this year your point will be taken as fact by pretty much everybody.

People have no clue what Nix’s options were in the passing game under Gus. Never ran routes to the middle of the field, never designed routes to get receivers open, never had a relief valve when things broke down. Nix would have thrived under Bama’s Offense with their WRs and Sarks Offense. To think otherwise is pure ignorance.

Bo Nix is still better than an QB from aggie land.

Regardless of his overall development, I think a legitimate question is should he have been rated a 5-star recruit to begin with?

Absolutely. Based on his work in HS he earned the 5 star ranking because he showed he was capable of contributing immediately in college. Gus crippled him.
