Put me in that camp. I'm not writing him off yet, but I definitely have concerns. It really took Jason Campbell 3 years to blossom and Nix is on the same path with his 3rd OC in 3 years, even though we know Gus had a lot more to do with the offense than Tuberville did.

Saban is no Offensive genius. He was smart enough to hire good offensive minds (until O’Brien) and recruit superior talent. As a matter of fact, all his lost championship could be attributed to the Defense. Which is his expertise.

Serious, honest answer to your question is yes. He’s gotten stronger and looks faster this spring but in reality, the young man can’t get it done at the level needed. The staff has concerns.
