Actually, it was only 79.

They also threw for 400+ and Gurley accounted for 156 AP yards. TG and Yeldon are a different animal though, Gurley is a beast but I think Yeldon's style is a better matchup against a defense like auburn. He's second to none at side-stepping a tackler at the second level, and your middle linebacker is second to none at missing a guy like that.

This is without even bringing up offensive lines. One is mean and the other is soft. Apples to oranges. Auburn will not be able to contain Yeldon and Drake. Book it

There is a chance.

Auburn did wonders against Alabama's rushing game in 2009 and 2010.

UA fans and their "book it" phrase. Heard the same shite about the Ingram/Richardson combo.

It's not Auburn's defense I'm worried about as much as their offense. I think Alabama would give them the same trouble they would give Oregon -- too much speed on defense.

Jesse Palmer said that stats mean nothing in rivalry games. You did all this work for nothing.

That's just my prediction pal. Jeremy Hill has the similar elusiveness in the hole. I just think a shifty guy with power can have his way with auburn's defense, they don't break down and tackle well enough on a consistent basis. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cooper or Christion Jones turn a 10 yarder into a 60 yarder either.

If we are going by what Jesse Palmer says than y'all were lucky to beat UGA and should be ranked round 10th in the nation.

I'm curious how AU fans legitimately view this years defense.
Middle of the pack from 20 to 20. In the top in the red zone. In the SEC that is.

Too inconsistent right now to be labeled anything other than good/above average.

the ones who gave up a 21 point lead in one quarter? sure, they're good enough.

He's right, Patton. The numbers don't look good for Auburn. Deaf ears and all..

On the rating scale, I'd say I'm around 6.5/7 in terms of confidence. I really believe we can stop Yeldon and the run, but I'm worried our secondary will get burned.

While we did poor in the 4th qtr against UGA, we have actually done very well in the 4th in all of our other games, so I think it is definitely possible we can win this game. This is going to be a game to remember!
