This sounds crazy but I have a friend from Italy who lives in a rural area of the Lombardy region. And she said they now have to present a written reason why they are out of their homes when they are confronted by an Italian military guard who is imposing quarantine.

What's so funny? This was definitely conspired by the liberal media to make a bigger deal than it actually is in order to make Trump look bad and to somehow "show how unfit he is for presidency". You're a fool if you think otherwise. They made this explode into what it is now due to their propaganda and backing everyone into a corner with no choice but to take drastic actions that they have. Name me the last time measures like this were put into action over a damn virus. We have had more threatening and lethal viruses and pandemics hit this country and have yet to have this type of action taken for them. Why do u think that is? It's political 100 percent.

Practicing personal hygiene and restricting freedom of movement are two very different things.

Yeah this blows. I’m doing what I can to live a normal life but it’s just panic and negativity every time I leave my little social bubble.

When? What virus? The last time was H1N1 but we only had like 10 cases in the US and because we were prepared and properly tested people coming from countries where it was, we kept it from spreading like this has. We HAD a department specifically for dealing with this kind of thing. It was effective against the H1N1 virus. Take a guess what happened to that department.

There is no escape. Sports was my escape.

I don’t use Facebook, so thank goodness I don’t deal with that garbage. This place is already starting to lose it. It is, indeed, like a movie.

It’s also very scary when you consider the possible (although minute) possibility this could all be some global government thing.

The only thing I'll give you is that left-leaning news media will focus on pinning this on Trump as much as possible. That's as far as this moronic nonsense goes.

These multibillion dollar corporations wouldn't willingly lose massive amounts of money because Huffington Post wanted them to. This is becoming so insanely moronic that it's about on-par with flat earth theory and the fake moon landing at this point.

Do you realize how dumb you sound?

These corporations pay politicians to get what they want. Not the other way around.

The NBA doesn't give two shits about who the president is unless there is money on the line.

Italy and Germany don't shut down their entire fricking countries because they want Joe Biden to win the next election.

Entire states (including Republican-controlled ones) don't send kids home from school for 3+ weeks because they want to kind of stick it to Trump.

The SEC and the schools that we all cheer for don't send students home to "show Trump is unfit for presidency".

If it's not clear by now, you should feel dumb. It's not too late to just own up to being stupid because if you go around saying this shite in public, I promise you people will never, ever think of you as anything but a complete fricking idiot.

It's insane in and of itself that all sports are cancelled right now and there straight up won't be a NCAAT or CWS.

It's also frightening that we are living through something that caused those to be cancelled...

Hopefully the cancellation of major sports gets people to wake up. But all I see on social media are people still packing bars and shopping centers.

80,000 Americans died in 2018 from the Flu..no cancellation of sporting events, no closed schools and plenty of TP to go around the world twice...

The goal is to keep this from being far less than it could be, which would make 2018 look like a blip
