Is an undefeated team with "nothing to lose" a dangerous team to face?

Just an example or two. MSU vs Bama or Fla vs Bama. Neither MSU nor Fla were predicted to make it this far without a loss in the preseason. Is a team that goes out and plays relentless a danger to a dominant team like Bama?

Florida has played a good schedule and deserve what they have gotten. MSmoo is a pretender.

Maybe for a regular season game, but not a game like an SEC Championship or BCS-level game.

I predict that both MSU and Florida will have a loss by late Saturday night.

State has nothing to lose but Florida would have a lot to lose. I know they weren't predicted to be this good but the expectations will change if that game goes down.

Florida has more to lose because when they play Bama, they'll likely be in a play-in game for the national championship game. If MSU beats Bama, we'll probably still lose to LSU and wind up in the Cap 1 bowl. If we lose it's not like we're missing out on a BCSNC game chance. MSU is just playing for the wild chance at an upset. However, that makes us no more dangerous than a Florida team that's probably more solid.

MSU is dangerous. With that schedule, those puppies have not been housebroken.

well, florida wasn't expected to make it to atlanta. now, they're only one game away. if they go in thinking into atlanta, assuming they win saturday, they could have that mentality. which i doubt they will have, but if they did, could they give bama their absolute best game?

Florida is not playing with nothing to lose. Just because they might be surprised how this season individually going- the expectation to win the SEC is always there.
