I was glad Torretta got exposed like he did that game as all he did that year was get away with a lot of crappy throws that his receivers would just outplay the DBs. When he couldn't do that against Bama he totally fell apart. I think Miami was like an 8 point favorite for that game also.

Bama didn’t have to have a prolific offense. They had the best defense in CFB ever.

This. When you have a defense that good you can afford to have an offense best described as serviceable.

Exactly. Look at 2011. Bama nor LSU had what I would consider a good offense but the Ds were so ridiculously good it didn’t matter.
