Wow, I knew they had a lot of coaching turnover, but this stat amazes me.

Bama is the flagship and always will be. You go on a great run and win 6 in a row. That probably will never happen again. But how does Bama respond? Back to back west crowns and a NC. Then yall win a NC. But honestly whose program is in better shape right now? If you cant have a better program the year after a NC, you never will. Auburn is still a top 15 program, but Bama is a top 3 program

This guy might be my favorite non-Bama poster. I might have to pull for Ole Miss now when they aren't playing Bama. Will be difficult b/c I'm not a fan of your HC, but I'll give it a try.
nice to see how people who aren't in the middle of this rivalry view the two teams.

Is 1980 part of the 70s?
Technically it is but I was only joking as virtually everyone considers the year that ends with 0 as the first year of the decade rather than the last.

AU is 2-2 against Saban...much more relevant
That is the record since he has been at Bammer, but his overall record vs. Auburn is 4-5.....
The overall record is close, the last 30 years favor Auburn... last 11 is Auburn 8 BAMMER 3. You can modify statistics. The next 30 years is what is more important to me... IMHO, that will be close also.

Iron bowl or actual overall record? I do realize this is an "Iron Bowl Record" thread, but isnt it more important who has more wins in a season then in a single game? But Auburn could have more wins than Bama over the past 30 years, I dont know.

I'ma drop some knowledge :
1980 is not part of the 70s, however traditional decades are not 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. They are 71-80, 81-90, 91-00, etc. A decade can be any period of ten years, but when someone mentions this decade, it should be considered 2011-2020.

What's the eye roll for? It may be hard for you to understand, but the Iron Bowl isn't the end all/ be all to most of us like it is to you. If UA goes 13-1, losing by a score of 36-0 to AU, but wins a championship..it will be a fantastic season. However, if UA beats AU by a score of 36-0 in a year where they aren't in the hunt for a championship, the season will be a failure.
