Saban told everyone what was going to happen years ago and I guess people just didn’t care. He needs to be in a position of authority in CFB and get some of these other jackasses the hell out

Bullsheet!!!!

Saban saw that the playing field was being leveled and schools like TX Tech, Indiana, and Vandy were going to start spending money on their rosters just like Bama has done for decades.

Now that everyone can pay players cheaters like Saban and Bama all of the sudden think it's not fair and not sustainable. They say college football is broke when they are the ones that broke it decades ago by cheating and paying players.

It's been broken for decades. The only difference is now we all get to peek behind the curtain of how recruiting has always been. Instead of the same 'blue bloods' cheating by paying players now everyone is allowed to pay players.

Saban is a fuggin clown. I lost all respect for him when he retired just b/c the playing field had been leveled and then tried to act like he hasn't been paying players all these years.

college football has never been more popular and more watched than it is now

I guess that's why first round CFP ratings were down 7% compared to last year.

Have to have a coach thats able to work with 0 team chemistry and produce.
Does it even matter. Now a days you just get a playmaking QB and some wideouts that can go get it. Blocking is all zone bullshite and reads by the QB. I imagine the defensive side is harder, but hell, just outscore the other guys is the name of the game.

As a college coach, I would much rather a player coming in that is paid, has a year of college under the belt and been in a college strength conditioning program. It is much easier to identify.

Coddling them thru the first two years or so is no longer necessary, if you have one get in trouble, who cares...it isnt a four year commitment any more. Just flush em and repeat.

As a fan, I think it is terrible, but it is the game we are in. I have watched more NFL than college this year as a result.

Yeah......maybe. But pretty sure tOSU thought they'd roll Indiana as well as Oregon. But here were are.
They did in the 2nd half, but their coaches suffered brain damage on 3rd and 1 inside the 5 twice. Pushing them around on the LOS they threw the ball, twice. Missed chip shot FG, and had a QB stumble on 4th and 1 that should have been a 3 yard gain on a sneak.

Indiana only touched the ball 3 times in the 2nd half.

The two G5 games had huge ratings drops which likely drove that. Last year there were no such terrible mismatches.

Maybe they should offer scholarships to students that have the grades and want to play football in an intramural league. They could then find other schools that do the same thing and play each other. That sounds fun!

The only real question is when do we reach the breaking point?

I don't know when but you'll know it's happening when you hear high pitched sqeals coming from Austin and Tuscaloosa.

Well that tells me they must have a pretty solid defense right?

The whole point is the worst college football program in the history of college football is a 7 point FAVORITE against Bama in the playoff game.

You think Bama is going to destroy Indiana and they might. Vegas thinks otherwise.

Reminder the only reason NIL is around is b/c schools like Bama cheated so much for so long.

Just think if NIL has been around forever Indiana would probably have 13 championships and bama would be probably like mizzou hahahahahaha

Just sick of the narrative that all of the sudden college football is broke.

Folks it's been broke for 50 plus years ever since schools started cheating and paying players. The NCAA could have easily fixed it years ago but you know the joke. A school like KY gets hit for violations and all of the sudden W. KY is now being investigated.

It's ironic though b/c the die hard college football fans of teams like Bama, tOSU, Michigan, Auburn, Nebraska, Miami, FSU, etc. are the ones that think all the sudden college football is broken now that other schools are paying players. lol

Again the ONLY reason a school like Bama has 13 championships is b/c they've cheated more than any other program by paying players. Now that everyone can pay clowns like Saban want to tell us it's broken. lol

Why? I'll tell you why... b/c then we'll have a salary cap and those same cheaters will cheat and pay players once again under the table.

It's so fuggin pathetic.
