No one on that list comes to Auburn. That's wishful thinking.

Alabama did OK with a failed NFL coach.
Yea, I'm amazed Alabama was able to have any insight into what type of college HC that failed NFL coach would have been

quote:The Auburn Administration understands that 2020 is a unique year with covid/no spring/reduced capacity. Gus can turn in any W/L record and he knows the Admin aren't about to fork over $7MM salary + $21.5MM buyout + buyout his highly paid staff + paying a start over staff.
I'd be shocked (pleasantly surprised) of anything happens with Gus before next season. Sounds like made up fan rumors.
This is a "gap year" for Gus and the Administration is ok with it.

Cristobal is a proven head coach
How? He is playing in a totally different environment where he is. That would be very different in one of the hardest coaching jobs in college football.

A hell of a recruiter which could help counter Kirby and Saban in that regard.
The current program has done that everywhere but offensive line as to be expected.

We are regressing badly under Malzahn.
I dont think so. I think the fact that two of our biggest rivals are on unreal highs have helped that.

Did you watch the Georgia game?
I watched it. It was embarrassing.
Im not saying not to replace Malzahn. Its time. Im just saying dont be so quick to throw the bank at a guy who got beat on a neutral field by your current coach when he had what was a heisman QB candidate, one of if not the best offensive lines in the country against a pathetic first year offensive line and a freshman QB in his very first game ever. He then blew two of his timeouts on one play where his QBs helmet come off trying to get him back in the game not knowing the rules. Those wasted time outs ended up costing him two shots at the endzone for the win

We will not be able to afford changing this year (Covid), so he is safe unless he goes 4-6.

neighbors wife got the info from her boss with whom shes been sleeping with for 8+yrs
neighbors wife boss got info from the ladys husband whom unbeknownst to her has been and still is sleeping with both wifes sister and wife of wifes boss 17+yrs and counting
all mentioned individuals relayed info to op whom started this thread

Supposedly the "reasoning" for not hiring Venables the last two times was because, "he has never been a head coach anywhere before", but then we went and hired an offensive line coach.
I doubt we ever spoke to Venables nor would he be interested. Dude's been turning down offers for 15 years now...head coaching isn't the end game for everyone.
