JD should win it and deserves to but Nix has another shot on TV all to himself.

It should be Daniels but I agree the media want Nix

The media wants the SEC out of the spotlight...not just in the Heisman race but the CFP too. If Bama pulls the upset saturday, they will be salivating to keep the SEC out of the playoffs.

Obviously it's a TEAM effort.... not a best player award.

Or alot of money was put on Daniel's already so now they need money on Nix. Betting lines change. Vegas probably just needs more money on Nix so they don't lose money. That's why better lines usually shift.

I also agree with this. Had this exact conversation with a Bama fan this morning how they’re far more likely to leave the SEC out than put both in with Alabama winning.

Two deserving LSU players will likely lose national awards to two players who played significantly weaker competition and put up worse stats overall.

Both are good players, but this is why college football has become an utter joke on so many levels.

Daniels really needed a stupefying performance against TAMU. TAMU did a good job of TOPballing for 3 quarters of the game but fell apart in the 4th quarter. Daniels just didn't get the opportunity he needed because TAMU considerably shortened that game.

Now he's got the problem where Bonix v. Penix is on the national stage this week and he's not playing.

Does Daniels deserve the Heisman? Yeah but deserves got nothing to do with it.

I believe JD is having the best individual season in the country. I think the three losses work strongly against him. I think if Nix has a good game and they beat Washington he wins it. I wish that wasn’t the case, but it probably will be.

Another Daniels/Nix thread with EarlyCuyler melting like a 5 year old child.

Man I'm shocked.

No doubt. Nix gets that extra game on a huge stage. That is gonna make him pull further ahead.

Looks like Nix wins unless he can’t complete his check-down passes this week.

27.6% of Nix’s attempts are behind the line of scrimmage, compared to just 13.6% for Daniels.

Pretty comical.
