Bama/LSU

LSU fan here, but Alabama/Auburn, Texas/Texas A&M are obviously in-state rival games.

Iron bowl is the biggest, most intense for the players.. It means that much, but any hate involved is on the fans. It can straight get stupid.

Imagine if Auburn left the SEC because they hated Alabama so much and then Alabama followed them to the new conference and forced them to play them.

That's how awesome this game will be for quite a while until things calm down.

Spot on. Perfect analogy.

I dont think SEC folks realize how annoying OU fans are. Far worse than Longhorn fans.

You'll see it soon.

Well, you got Texas -5 going up against Their Overinflated Ego and A&M -2 faces a tough battle against Abject Angst.

Put me down for a nickel on both dogs.

We didn’t play for many more years than atm and Texas haven’t. Still won’t touch the iron bowl

Well moonmoon we didn't fig out and leave the conference, but we hated each other to not play for 30 something years, until the State Legislature made us start playing again in 1948. What's your point?

How is Texas vs Texas' leg humpers more intense?

Well, I have attended about 10 games each between both schools, and they really aren’t even comparable..

There just is some something different about Texas vs Oklahoma.. half Burnt Orange, half Crimson.. and it just gets your blood boiling.. The game is usually pretty close, and the overall series is relatively close. In the Big 12, they have fricking owned us.. but that game often determined the Big 12 South, which ultimately impacted National Title hopes..

Since 2000, Texas has played for 2 NC and OU has played for 4 NC in the BCS. OU has also made the CF playoffs 4 times. The game usually has meant a lot.. It’s just hard to explain in words unless you have been..

The Texas vs Texas A&M game has always been a big rivalry game as well.. but the series isn’t all that close, and games are often lopsided, one direction or the other. It was very rare for both teams to be good in the same year, and the game has never had national title implications for whoever wins that game..

That being said, I do agree that it will be quite heated going forward. It’s hard to imagine that it will be bigger than the Oklahoma game, but I guess it is possible with all the shite that has transpired.

Also, I have never been to the Iron Bowl, so I really can’t compare either to that game. My original comment was just saying:

Texas vs Oklahoma > Texas vs Texas A&M

This gives me an idea moonmoon. Has anyone ever found the actual location where Bama and Auburn "buried the hatchet" before that historic game? ATM and Texas need to bury a hatchet there and then play a ballgame at legion field!!! There are tons of friendly "homeowners" willing to let you park in their yard near the stadium.

Due to the fact that only three of their fans actually went to the school. Those three are pretty cool.

The return of the A&M-tu game is insignificant in them joining the conference. They’re following because they in the worst P5 conference left with no real future. This is them admitting A&M was right. Now we want to join the cool kids too.
