No accents out here

There is definitely a midwest twang. I grew up in KC and always notice it when I go back.

I don't think there are any accents in Idaho. I've been to Boise a bit for work and never noticed any

Gus didn't leave him very much to work with

This isn't true. Auburn has talent everywhere except for in the trenches. DL is in much better shape than OL but definitely not too tier like it has been before this season.

Harsin is a QB and OL guy so I expect that will be his number one priority in getting the OL fixed. After that, he should be ready to roll bc position players are there. Depth at RB and getting a QB for his offense may be issues, but THE issue on offense is the line.

Maybe but hardly a clear upgrade. Think that is what most Auburn fans are aggravated about. After Gus they had higher expectations. Don’t blame them.

Harsin is a much better football coach than Gus. Without question.

It's almost like all y'all forgot how much you laughed at Gus over the past 4 or 5 years because he sucked.

The drop off started before he left and only got worse when they were hammered for his cheating. Ole Miss was the laughing stock of cfb the last two seasons Freeze was there because it was one scandal right after another.

Freeze cheated his arse off. He would have been great at Auburn with the bagmen

I've only been to Idaho once and it was 87 or so. I was talking about Kansas City specifically.

I disagree. Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Harsin took 3 star players and put them in the NFL. Gus took 4 star players and ruined their careers. Of course, there are exceptions to this on both sides but it seemed to be their tendencies. I think that just that, absent all the records and X's and O's, is an improvement and will pay off in recruiting and on the field.

I'm not happy at all but moving towards indifference. I know what Gus would do every year, 9-4 or 8-5 depending on who we play at home. Not good enough. I don't know what the new guy will do. Depends on staff, and how much control he has in choosing if any

$21M to do it.

Really it’s 49 million.

Gus was due every dollar of that contract whether we fired him last year, this year, or next year.

The contract was incredibly one sided.

Sexton and Gus spit roasted our administration Eiffel Tower style.

agree with that, but it's their money. People gave us a lot of crap about spending $75M for Fisher but he's been worth it to the A&M fans and school

Freeze is scummy but Briles is next level for me as far as scumminess. I'm a Tennessee fan (insert joke here) and most would love to have Freeze over the current "coach"

If I'm AU, I'm not critical of the hire, but I'd be very critical of the decision to spend $21M to do it.

It is more about being critical of the contract to begin with if we are being honest.

I believe the fear was Gus would do well enough next year to make it all but impossible to let him go for yet another year. Again, really bad contract decisions can have really rough consequences.

They didn't forget, they're just pissed we don't still have Gus and are acting out.
