In 1988 AM cancelled on Alabama for hurricane Gilbert which did not even effect east TX.

Hurricane Gilbert made landfall as a category 2 it did not even rain in College station. But later that season Alabama beat the piss out if AM 30-10.

I remember that. I was a Marine at Lackland AFB for CID school and they bussed in all the cadets to stay there during the storm. What a bunch of figs.

He was injured at the date of the first game, which was postponed. But I believe it was Bama Coach Bill Curry who made the decision not to go. And some of their fans called us "the yellow tide" for it too, as I recall. At least until we came with Smith and thumped them pretty good, with Derrick Thomas doing most of the thumping.

The fact that I spend any time on this site is only slightly less embarrassing than the amount of time you queers spend googling random shite about other universities in your conference. Do you have any other interests? I get it. Everyone should have a hobby. Obsessing over a college football team seems like a particularly unproductive one though
