You're right though, I'm constantly steamed at other SEC teams doing this with basketball while UGA struggles to get 20 wins

You do know our athletic program is better and it isn't even close. They are great academically..but Vandy has not won a title in Basketball nor Football(any claims are very much bs..or Auburn like). Very few athletic programs are better than UF...just our Football has been very bad for a decade+.
