Basketball coming down the stretch
Baseball will wrap things up at the sec Tourney
It’s sad
It won’t be the same and I find my interest level getting less and less

We never referred to it as the old SEC when Mizzou and A&M joined. Wonder what the difference is...

For me, I could almost see teams like A&M and Mizzou maybe belonging to the SEC but Texas and Oklahoma? No way, they're Big 8 (or Big 12) and always kind of will be.
But I can suspend belief enough to accept it. It's always been about money. That's never been anything new. It's just the new SEC. That's how it is.

Texas and OU definitely belong in the SEC. They are both quality blue blood programs with great history and passionate fans. This site has just turned into a cesspool with no real honesty in football discussion.

That is because Arkansas and South Carolina came in 1992. Did not want then either.

I don't know. No doubt about the fandom and quality.
I guess I'm sounding kind of oldish, it's just that Big 8 football was a true identity. The move to the Big XII was kind of awkward, but it seemed familiar enough.
I suppose we'll fit into the SEC ok, have some good seasons in a variety sports, blah blah blah and so on. And I also suppose after some number of years it will become 'normal' for many of us. But Money has really changed the game over the last 30-40 years. I like some of the changes - especially for the players. But these strange conferencesteins that are forming.... I am just not sure I can ever really get used to that.
