That guy has taken too many licks after 5 years starting and it’s just the Outback bowl. He doesn’t owe us a thing…he gave us everything he had and got us a HT. It’s time to get the Nuss Buss rolling….all the reps Nuss will get and this start under his belt will give us a nice jump on next season.

I agree! If he was my son I would advise him
Not to play. Nothing positive to add to his resume for playing in that game.

Quitting is an LSU tradition.

Exactly, it truly makes no sense. He’s not 6’5 250

JD is the only one opting out, which is a big change from the Orgeron regime. Nice job by BK…

It is shared, it’s going to be sitting next to LSU’s national championship trophies, and other Heisman trophies when everyone comes to take a visit. So yes, it is shared. He’s not gonna keep the trophy. LSU will. Thanks JD5!!

Choosing to play the last game with your team when there is no external motivation is a positive IMO.

I agree on the too many licks and I agree on the "just a bowl game".

But I disagree on the parenting front.
I'm not encouraging an opt out away from the team.

If my son did that, it is his decision and I would support him.
But no way in hell am I teaching or preaching that behavior as a father.

He earned the Heisman.
He earned his teammates respect and they can respect his decision.
But it is idiotic to hold that opt out decision as a standard which should be cheered or celebrated.
That's nonsense.

Imagine being such a pussy on the Internet that you feel the need to pretend to be an Arkansas fan to hide your alter ID.

I will never understand purported college football fans being glad players aren't playing college football.

I wanted to see him toy with Wisconsin. Just play smart and avoid the big hits
