But, to lose at any time to Tennessee is more than can be accepted. DeBoer made the right decision to only spend a couple of hours in preparation for Georgia.

True story, CtrlAlterDel:

DeBoer doesn't have a winning record vs. Smart or Heupel.

Go teach the Bulldogs to behave is literally in the Alabama fight song. UGA vs Bama was a volatile rivalry in certain parts of the 20th century.

Alabama's fight song was created by Epp Sykes in 1925 to celebrate Alabama's SIAA championship that season.

Georgia Tech was mentioned because the game was played in a rainstorm. It was a good line in a song, nothing more.

Georgia was mentioned because Alabama shut out a 4-5 Georgia 27-0 and the creator of the song just thought it was funny how badly they lost, not because Georgia was a rival. They were included just as filler material; the song had to have some words in it, you know.

Georgia was an absolute nobody during that specific season and during that time period generally. Alabama, on the other hand, was undefeated and was gearing up to play in the Rose Bowl, the first of many, which would garner them national attention and respect from people all across the United States when they beat Washington.

The song was written while Alabama was waiting to go to Pasadena, that is why this:

Remember the Rose Bowl, we’ll win then.

line was included.

Georgia was not a rivalry then or now. You were just confused; now you know better.
