We took 59 "healthy" scholarship players down to death valley and played our hearts out. We had a walk-on starting at corner and a 300 pound Defensive Tackle on the Punt Coverage team. I don't think we'll make it to a bowl game this year, I doubt we have enough warm bodies to beat state, but Freeze is going to lead us to the promised land.

Congrats on the win, Tigahs and good luck the rest of the way.

Congrats on playing the best you could possibly play and still losing to a team that didn't really feel like playing until the 4th quarter.

Hotty Toddy go get AIDS.

Excuses are worse than moral victories.

Stay classy, bud. I hear Genocide and Rape jokes are also in season this time of year.

Where is the excuse? LSU played like shite on defense. Ole Miss played out of their minds. LSU still won. Congrats on coming close.

Hugh Freeze has done a great job this year. Tough loss but he has done a great job this year.

ETA: who really expected Mississippi to be on the verge of a bowl this year after the last two years?

Eta2: and I think they can definitely beat MS State.

I HATE when Bama fans say "we beat ourselves."

Wait...what were we talking about again?

I know it's not the greatest thing to look for moral victories but this team has really grown immensely under Freeze this year. If we can play like the level we did today all year round next year then I like our chances at a bowl game next year and possibly 8 wins.

Ole Miss also gave y'all turnovers in our own territory and LSWho couldn't score a touchdown. If we hadn't of given LSWho all of those turnovers it would have been an easy Ole Miss win

Get outta here. It's all hindsight. Turnovers are usually forced not given. Other than that we gave up a lot of big plays which is uncharacteristic for us. Bottom line. Athletes wind is the game

Ole Miss has themselves a good coach and he has the Rebels on the right track. Was a great game today. I think OM can beat Miss State...if they play like they did today. Anyways, looking forward to watching the Egg Bowl and good luck next week.

Ole Miss can take comfort in the knowledge that UF also had shortage of numbers needed for depth in 2011...now look at us. The biggest difference is the attitude adjustment that has taken two years to to change. Its a TEAM concept now. Freeze doesnt have the five and four star athletes though that Boom had and is getting to oil the machine and stay on top. Ole Miss needs a lot more beef on sides of the ball.

And LSU turned the ball over a few times as well. Deep in their own territory. So your excuses are bullshite. Great game but you lost. Good teams find a way to win and we did. It doesn't matter how. It's a W in the column.
