I made it while drunk, it does suck. Probably switch it soon.

I logged in earlier this week to see a gif people were talking about I couldn't see without logging in. I noticed the pm to me was gone and I could post again. Been slammed at work (and still am) so I just got around to it tonight.
Anyway, can't complain, this website can be a distraction at times, but guess I'm glad to be back.

Also, I don't want to derail this thread as it does have a lot of good discussion (I followed it at work off and on today), and NAtidefan and the Ags have made it a good one on some topics that matter.

It really needs to die, but thanks. I thought there was some good discussion from both sides.

On my phone, so not typing a novel. But as a business move with the inevitable collapse of the big 12 and pac and big 10 expansion it was a smart move to take you ( otherwise we didn't "need" you). As far as a fan perspective we didn't want you, your addition potentially fricks up rivalries, good cross divisional games, and may make us take on Missouri who none of us consider a good fit in the SEC. Sure, your leaving those things too, but it was your choice. We pretty much had to take someone due to the collapse of the big 12 and you were the prettiest girl available. Doesn't mean your worthless, but it also doesn't mean we weren't happy being our own little family without you and wouldn't have cared less if you continued to suck in the big 12 and kept all your potential tv set watchers with you.
frick...Just when I gain some respect for you after reading the rather solid reasoning displayed in your 4 point analysis from a couple of hours ago, you come on here and post this complete garbage.
Listen, your innocuous opinion is beyond irrelevant.
This idea you have that we were forced upon you, and the continuous need of yours to proclaim how A&M is not "needed" is just pathetic. Get over it. No one, and I mean NO ONE has suggested that the SEC "needed" A&M.
But here's the kicker: one doesn't need something in order to greatly benefit from it.
And to any Ag out there who feels the need to play the proverbial "Uncle Tom" on here: frick you, too.

Hey DW, you're looking like a douche.
We get it, ole boy thinks that someone said the SEC needed A&M.
It doesn't, and frankly A&M doesn't need the SEC, but it's a damn good marriage. We'll be better together than we would apart. I doubt anyone will disagree with that.

So when I say you have potential but have gay cheerleaders you like me, but when I say the sec took you cause of the changing landscape of college football you get pissed. Oh well... That's my opinion.

Actually agree with this.

There is a difference between playing "uncle tom" and showing some fricking respect when you are the new kid on the block.
Most here seem to be able to recognize that line. You just blew past it obliviously.
Everyone can recognize nothing was forced on anyone and most are satisified with the end result so far.

Look, I'm all for paying one's dues. I don't believe A&M has some inherent right of passage.
We've acknowledged our deficiencies plenty since coming on the board. No reasonable Ag feels like we should be immune from any sort of fraternal banter that comes with being "the new kid on the block."
If that's what's been conveyed by me through my posts, then that's on me. That all being said, if we can all agree and acknowledge that this is a move that will benefit all parties, then we should just let the thread die.

I wouldn't worry too much about dw embarrassing ya'll, the male cheerleaders took care of that a long time ago

Hey, if my being the scapegoat helps everyone else come together, then that's a role I'm more than willing to embrace.

it took me all of one, maybe two posts to get ole bama fan mcgee to agree to what the situation is.
Now let's get fricked up, it's almost gameday and I'm taking a limo at 4am to dallas. I'll be drinking before the sun comes up

exactly, and they're still fuming about ol Col Reb
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of aggies are racist. They are obviously still in favor of oppressing women. I mean I get it, when cheerleading first started it was mostly a male dominated activity. Women were not considered smart enough to rhyme the words and remember the chants or jump in unison and throw their arms in the air
But this is 2011, chicks can do stuff now! And THIS man right here, is just fed up with women not be allowed to participate in male dominated activities like cheerleading! Enough is enough!!

Just saw this. LarrySellers, I get that you don't approve of many A&M traditions, but for your own sake leave it at that. Having lived in both Texas and the deep south for most of my life, I as a black man know racism when I see it. And I have to say, Aggies are the LEAST racist group of people I've ever been around--never had any racial problems when I attended A&M (case in point, my wife is white, and also an Aggie). Can't say the same for the time I spent living in Mississippi, Alabama, and Virginia.
Just say you think A&M is gay and leave it at that and it's all good.
