I’ll say this about the SEC.

Compared to the Big 12, it really is a family, and I finally understand why.
Holy shite are asses chapped today. Between the text messages from my B1G and Pac12 friends, to the media onslaught of how bad this is today, I totally get it now.
In the Big 12 everyone could suck it, it was every man for himself over there. Football, basketball, it didn’t matter. It was a cut throat deal over there.
Everyone worried about the other guy stepping up in that conference. It was like no one was allowed to have a moment if it wasn’t UT or OU.
Here in the SEC, I’m loud and proud. It feels like home. We stepped up for a second, it was cool. I didn’t feel any hate like when we stepped up for a second in that other league.
In this conference we allow our own to take the stage, and we don’t act like dicks when it happens.
I love that.
Congrats, Bama, but even more props to UGA. I’ll root for the East on Monday, because that’s my fam.

And there's that huge check everybody in the family gets, too. It's nice to be able to compete in the best conference in the land and get lots of athletic money. We have our conference rivalries but we know all OOC fans hate us. That just makes us root for each other more. To hell with other conferences.

Very good post. Many of the folks that grew up in the SEC simply won’t understand where you are coming from. They just can’t.
Just wish we would have made the jump with the Hogs decades earlier. It’s a great conference with passionate fan bases everywhere we go. Lots of cool history here as well.

There are some bitter fricks that base their happiness on some stupid arse shite ITT.
I’m no fool, Mizzou isn’t ever going to be in this position. I’d never expect it.
I’m just happy that my states flagship has found a home in a conference that takes care of its own.
This wasn’t the case in the Big 12, and that’s obvious.
If we’re going to continue to be mediocre and then pop up every 4-6 years, I’d prefer we do it in a conference that cares about its members versus one that doesn’t.
The SEC was the best thing to ever happen to us, I don’t care what you guys think about Mizzou, I only know that I’m happy that my team is in the SEC.

Yes it is. You get your piece of the pie, and fellow conference members will give each other shite. But no one outside is allowed to talk shite.
And if you have a good season, the rest of the conference is happy because they can give others in the conference shite.
