See 2012 Ole Miss vs Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. I respectfully disagree that winning the game makes you a better team that day.

That does not mean that the winner is more talented, and it does not mean that the winner would win one or more rematches. But surely the outcome of the game is the best indicator of who was better that day - far better than an unproveable opinion that the team that didn't win was really the better team.
