I'll admit it. Pittman is a good coach. I was wrong on the hire.

I just read this article and you can tell that he hasn't just left it up to his assistants to break down game film, he KNOWS his opponent. That, given with beating 2 SEC teams this year, I'll admit I am wrong. The Rebs have their work cut out for them this weekend.

I stick by what I said. Listen, the SEC office already came out and said that they made a mistake so if you take that mistake and the absolute FACT that Auburn should not have had a FG attempt at the win, I'll credit Pittman for playing Auburn and getting the win for coaching. The record book says that Auburn won, but to me that is just political nonsense. The play on the field yielded a win for Pittman.

I'll say one more thing. I don't want my claim that Arkansas beat Auburn to take away from the point of the thread. Read that article and you can tell that the man studies his opponents with diligence.

On whether or not it was a fumble, not that Arky should've recovered.

Except that Arkansas did recover it. The DB on the left went straight for the ball and never stopped until he had it... no delay.

They recovered it 3 actual seconds after the whistle blew. If the first guy who pounced on it doesn't boot it down the field, it's Arkansas ball. But he did, and a whistle blew, and then 3 seconds later after everyone had stopped fighting for it except one a single DB, the DB recovered it.

Give him time. He may be. The Pirate was going to take the league by storm after the first game. Ed O was the next legendary SEC coach not long ago. Pittman has them playing hard. Let's see what kind of talent he can recruit.

Pitt boss is one of the best recruiters in the business “Yessssssss Sir”. I hated seeing him go but he earned his stripes and he got to go home to his dream job . Nothing but the best for Sam

Only a complete idiot thought either of those things lmfao.

I KNEW Pittboss was a good hire, but my #1 was Lane Train for a reason- thats reason being Lane Train "going to take the league by storm"....

Did anyone outside the LSU fan base really believe this?

IMO the biggest factor will be the DC/OC and position coach rehires

he was on a good run and his trajectory was climbing.

Look at it this way........Inept Gus took an 0-8 Auburn team the the NC game in year one.

As I stated........pump the brakes. Give it time.

Sure but I think legendary coach would be a stretch for most football fans, except for the extreme homers

It’s just a few paragraphs of observations that anyone who has watched us could call out.

As a coach that’s being paid millions to do this on a full time basis, I believe what he revealed in that article would be classified as surface level info. He could’ve gathered all that from just sitting on the couch drinking a beer watching our games on ESPN .

Think you’re giving him a bit too much credit.
