Well given that if you have a a team with the possibility of being a top 10 team, you will be in the discussion. I think most Tennessee fans expect at least a top 20 if not close to cracking top 10 type team.

Not disappointed at all. Expectations for LSU are anywhere from 8-4 to 6-6 next season.

do Texas fans really like this guy? The last 4 plays against UW he looked terrible.

I like Ewers, but he definitely has the yips at times.. I'm hoping that he can work on his footwork this offseason and stop dancing so much.

He has a shitload of talent and when he is good, he is really damn good. But when he has the yips, which he had pretty much the whole game, all bets are off..

His final stats were decent, but he didn't have a very good game. Some of that is in his head, some of that is because Washington called a pretty good game against him. Credit to UDub for that.

I'd rather have Colt or VY, but if he puts it all together this offseason, he could be pretty special.

8-4/9-3 is the common prediction range I have seen from vols. Thats top 15 at best, unranked at worst.

I expect minimum 3 SEC teams in the playoffs and I'll definitely be disappointed if Texas is not one of them. Having said that we're losing some big time players on both sides of the ball and our first SEC schedule will take some adjustment.

All that aside recruiting and portal takes have been good lately, but you can't depend on true Freshmen at some positions and portal guys are a bit of a gamble. I expect us to be competitive next season, but even with 12 teams it won't be a cakewalk getting into the playoffs..but I do expect us to be there.

I will be disappointed even though I recognize that more than likely we won't make it. That's not because of WAOM; it's just math. Assuming hypothetically that Georgia, OSU, FSU, and Arizona win their conferences, you'll have the following competing for 6 (maybe 7) at large bids: Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Washington, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Ole Miss, LSU, Clemson, Notre Dame. There will be a surprise team or two in the mix at the end of the season. And if you're realistic and go ahead and pencil in Alabama and Michigan, then all those teams are competing for 4-5 slots.

I think everyone is underestimating how easy it will be for a Big 12 team to blow up and have an 11-1 or 10-2 record without having Texas and Oklahoma to worry about.

There will probably be a bunch of 10-2 teams next year competing for the last couple of spots, and it will all come down to the beauty contest.

ETA: I wish our OOC schedule was stronger next year. Nor am I predicting 10-2 for us. It will be very hard to go 10-2 next year.

I’d be fine .considering just having one of the worst defenses in the history of the program . Plus new staff . Offense will be fine . But it’s possible to get that 12 seed . I’m thinking another 9-3 season again

I won’t be too disappointed since it’s our first year and we have a difficult schedule

I doubt any reasonable person would use some random Vegas odds determine their expectations.

I’d say 9-3 is realistic and would be a top 20 team. 10-2 and you’re more than likely top 10. I know it’s 1 game but Nico has the “it” that Milton didn’t. Defense should improve or at the very least the same. Return almost entire offensive line and return basically all WRs including McCoy (injury) and Brazell (Tulane). Sampson’s a quality RB but will have to learn to block or he’ll get Nico killed. 10-2 is not a pipe dream. Wouldn’t be surprised to win only 8 though.

I will be bummed. There is no reason why Mizzou should not be #2 in the SEC next year behind UGA.

I doubt any reasonable Georgia fan expected Muh Threepeat. But you did. Draw your own conclusions.

Reasonable UT fans expect to have a good shot to be in the playoffs next year, as do the oddsmakers. Reasonable UT fans will be disappointed if we don't make it in.

Unreasonable Georgia fans don't get to tell us if we'll be disappointed or not. We didn't try to tell you to not be disappointed when you crashed and burned against the Gumps. We just pointed and laughed.

There are reasons tho.

I agree, especially if the two or three losses are to the top teams.
