Mullen built his record on cupcakes at MSU.Muschamp beat just as many top 10 teams in ONE season as Mullen did in his career at MSU.

Mullen would be low on my list as well. Jimbo is really a very easy answer here. A wide gap and then I'd probably take Pruitt. Mullen would do fine, win a lot of games, but never take us where we want to go. Doesn't recruit well enough.

If you look at his first two classes, really not much different than JMac's last two, especially if you factor in what he's lost from this most recent one.

You're gonna have to be a consistent recruiter who can pull in multiple elite recruits, especially in the trenches to win these days. Haven't seen anything from Mullen that suggests he can do that. Pruitt has already gotten two five stars for his Oline.

Jimbo is up there with Kirby and Saban as far as recruiting goes.

Orgeron's failure at Ole Miss still weighs heavy, but another good year and he'd move up for me as well.

I remember smarts first year at UGA. Maybe you weren’t a fan yet.

Jimbo. Discount him at your peril.

Am I missing something? 3.5 years ago when we set out to hire a new HC the thought of UGA hiring Mullen baffled and brought laughter to tRant. Now he's the popular pick. Lol

I guess we're not factoring recruiting too important in the decision...?

This...

Jimbo has a natty as a head coach to point to... He may have let FSU backslide toward the end there, but he's proven that he has what it takes to get to the top and seemingly is motivated.

Pruitt still a work in progress, but he knows his shite and can evaluate talent like a boss. If you pair him up with a really talented OC and let them run the show, could easily see him having success.

Starts to become a big mish-mash after that... Mullen/Muschamp likely in the "next up" category, but would not be excited about either. Then Malzahn next.

Coach O is sort of an "N/A" here as I don't see him as a great fit outside of the region... Not a slight against him, just not sure I'd want him in Athens.

Not sure what you're trying to do, here. I'll chalk it up to a petty attempt to entice anger, and I'll choose discretion. I can also remember Smart's first year. maybe try engaging in conversation, every once and a while.

That's because they know the ride is over, and Merlin is about to go balls deep on Kirby this year.

Call me what you will , but, I wouldnt want ANY of them over Chad if Saban is off the list. If I had to make a call, I guess Jimbo.

Didnt want Kirby or mullen when we hired Bert, still don't.

Mark Stoops is still a bit... idk, Im undecided or whatever. Yes, he is a solid coach, but is he just another Houston Nutt though? 10 win ceiling and it comes every 4 years... Offense that cant pass when it needs to, yet can run on anybody (remember Arkansas led the SEC in rushing for IIRC 8 years in a row under Nutt)...
Come to think of it, Muss and Mus would be kind of cool.

I guess deciding who to dick ride is just as difficult as deciding on a mascot.
