I give it a fairly decent shot. It will be more of a multipurpose venue for the whole city than a UNLV football stadium.
They're supposedly getting all the state financing sewn up in the next month.
Hopefully they'll get it done.

We'll never get an NFL event here. NFL is way too concerned about its image when it comes to the whole Vegas/gambling thing.
I'm sure there isn't going to be a problem getting the events to fill it. Especially when you think of MWC Championships, Pac 12 basketball tournaments, NFR, concerts, monster truck rallies, etc.
Going to be really close to the strip too.
Heck, just this year we have 3 conference basketball tournaments in town.

Sun bowl.
I probably may be the only one but I love that game every year. Would have liked it better before Juarez got super sketchy but I still think the bowl game is a classic.

Rose bowl, but ONLY if we could move it to the South/south east.. screw California and their lack of real interest in football. I'd rather it be vs #1 big 10 team though.

I would dump the bowl in Mobile and replace it with the Belk Bowl in Charlotte.
Plenty of Belk stores in SEC territory (except in BR, sorry) and as we will probably have a NC team in the future it helps to have a bowl there.
