If we must have a helmet to helmet rule, then call it on offensive players who lower their heads too.

At the refs' discretion, a false start can be a continuation play if the ball is snapped, then the defense can decide whether to enforce or decline the penalty.

Fumble out the endzone rule us the only right answer to this question. Rule makes no sense and often has massive impact of game outcome, without either team doing anything to deserve the outcome.
Offense fumbles but Defense fails to recover it. Neither team did anything really notable or outstanding, but the whole game changes considerably. So fricking stupid.

As near as I can tell, every play in college football is subject to review by a replay official. They will stop the game to review a 5 yard completion at the 40 yard line in the middle of the 2nd qtr, for example.
This should be changed to something like the NFL system which limits it to turnovers, scoring plays, inside 2 minutes in the game, or a coach's challenge.
These college games need to be sped up.

Pick the fastest player from each team to race to the Fifty yard line. They both pick up a beer and whoever chugs it the fastest has won the coin toss.
Game on.

Undo the new rule where you can play 4 games and still get a redshirt. Instead, bring back JV games for players who are being redshirted and guys who never play on Saturday. It would be good experience for players, young coaches, and would be a cheaper alternative to varsity games on Saturday for anyone else interested in going.

THE CLOCK DOESN'T STOP ON FIRST DOWN - CBS MAKES THE GAME LONG ENOUGH
Honorable mention - Move the hashes in to NFL length. It's absolutely silly to have the ball on 65-70% on the left or right side of the field. Moreover - college kickers suck, no need to have them paste balls left or right trying to overcompensate for crap angles.

Every ref for an Arkansas game shall be a paid employee of the University of Arkansas.
Nah.
Though I would have the SEC dip into its stash of cash and hire full time professional referees.

So in other words send your fastest olineman. Might lose the race but will make it up with the 3 second chug.

Eliminate field goals. No more having a game decided in the final seconds by some scrawny guy who had nothing to do with the game except kick the ball.

I smell a bunch of butt hurt Bammers that are still mad that Mark Ingram got hawked down in the 2010 IB and fumbled the ball down the sideline into the endzone. That ball did seem to bounce right on down the sideline for about 20 yards though.
Except when Ingram fumbled that ball it didnt go in the end zone

I think that was 2005.
It was and the reason I remember is my wife and I were in a birthing class for our daughter during the game and my brother had to text me updates. It would be like an hour between updates because it was so low scoring. When Christensen hit the FG I gave a big fist pump when I got the text

That is the reason they are no longer "defenseless runners".
People just need to understand that part and most do not.

It's not decided in the final seconds, the conclusion of every game happens in the final second.
What decided it were all the events that lead up to that point.

I'd get rid of the stupid arse rule that if your helmet comes off you have to sit out a play.
And I'd make Taunting legal. Brad Wing was robbed for absolute savagery.
