I have a couple because they all go together
1) Pay the players based on image and likeness/Olympic model and increased stipend for Super 4
2) Four 16 team super conferences with four 4 team pods for scheduling (Notre Dame has to join a conference)
3) 9 game conference schedules and minimum 2 Super 4 opponents per year. One non super 4 or fcs program cupcake per year max
4) 8 team playoff, 4 conference champs and 4 at large.

How do you get around Billy Bob's Used Car Lot paying a player to "use his likeness" $25,000 if he signs with UGA?

Market forces would mean that T. Boone Pickens could buy all the best players in the country for Okla St

I’m fine with that because he wouldn’t be able to. Too many big dogs in the park to allow one super booster to buy “all the best players”

I say let people outside the school pay players whatever they want. Let’s not pretend that Vanderbilt or Kansas State have ever recruited on a level of an Alabama or Georgia anyway. The idea that making payment illegal creates a level playing field has always been a farce. There’s no such thing as a level playing field in college sports.

Of course they could. Hell the Wal-Mart family could easily give the top 20 players in the country a million each to sign at Arkansas without noticing it.

Thats a strawman argument regardless, there is absolutely nothing to stop a Kansas State alum from doing exactly what the Waltons could do for Arkansas. You would have to set up a limit on using likeness

Fumbles that go out of the back/side of the end zone are given back to the team who fumbled at the point of the fumble.

Yes, yes, yes.
This is the dumbest rule of all sports, except maybe a dropped 3rd strike and a batter can still run to first base.

Never understood the fumble rule. Fumble out at your own 2 yard line? No problem, you keep the ball. Fumble out at the opponents 2 yard line? Still no problem.
Oh, but get close enough to their goal line and fumble out? Nope, other team gets the ball for almost giving up a touchdown

Targeting shouldn’t get you ejected from a game. If you have 2 in one game then you can be ejected. Like unsportsmanlike conduct penalties

It can be a game rule (penalties, etc.) or structure like conferences, postseason, etc.

8 team playoff - P5 champ, 3 at-large spots with a guaranteed spot for an undefeated G5 (highest ranked if there are multiple)

If you don't win your division, let alone conference, you are disqualified from the playoff.

Win 8+ to bowl from now on

6-6 teams do not deserve a post season game.
