Any math poll after 1936 is a bull shite claim.

Good thing the FWAA wasn't a "math poll" then, huh?

You mean like 1941?

Oh...he will say he disagrees with that one and then argue the other 3 that are deserved. He whines about other teams and says Bama wouldn’t claim the questionable titles...but Bama is the king of claiming questionable titles. Then he wonders why we call him out. Dude is a complete and utter joke.

Why don’t you claim this one since you were undefeated in the regular season? Your a joke buddy.

Then about 90% of Alamama’s are bullshite. You young guys are so stupid about these polls. FWAA was the first or close to it to award anything after bowls.

I did watch it happen and I'm fine with claiming it. Some of your information is wrong, but the truth is that several teams could claim the '77 title. Notre Dame lost to unranked Ole Miss, which was the worst loss for all the teams with a claim. Alabama has a strong claim as well.

Notre Dame got the AP and the Coaches championship, which is as good as de facto as it got back in the day. I know a lot of teams could claim it, but that's why we don't have to deal with that awful system anymore.

Notre Dame also got the '66 AP and Coaches championships, but few here think they deserved it. You're absolutely correct, but championships were mythical for good reason back then.

1964: Unbeaten Arkansas. Bama claims, but lost its bowl

Funny...1950 Oklahoma, 1951 Tennessee, 1953 Maryland, 1960 Minnesota, 1965 Michigan State, and 1970 Texas all lost their bowl games but still claim national championships for those seasons.

Notre Dame beat Alabama in a No. 1 vs. No. 3 bowl.

Alabama had already been awarded the national championship of college football in the Coaches Poll. Also...how in how many seasons did Notre Dame get awarded a national championship and then sat out the post-season? Alabama fans could have saved themselves a lot of social media heartache had the team decided to sit out the bowl seasons of 1964 and 1973.
