I’m not sure that dropping this news right before Jimbo Fisher takes the stage at SEC Media days was the best way to do it. That feeds right in to the impression people has of them.

Which if you want to get into a bit of a conspiracy theory - it would be the perfect time for A&M to leak it to tank it.

True. Problem is that as soon as the season starts most of this goes away until the offseason.

Well, Sarkisian was announced the day of our Bowl game, so the timing would not be a surprise. To be honest, I don't think either school can get through the politics to put it to a vote, and I think A&M/MZ can probably block it if it ever does get that far

You are a dickhead too but who cares. Smartphones killed the English language I didn’t. Wanna call me lazy because I hate to type then go ahead. I will totally wear that. Illiterate no. I take shortcuts because I’m talking to people on the internet for fun. I’m not getting a grade or a paycheck here. If you really must know I have a damaged nerve in my neck due to collapsed disc in my neck and I have very little feeling in one of my arms and hand. My arm and hand can get really tired if I type a lot so I make it easy on myself. Sorry if it bothers you if I use Your instead of you’re. But I didn’t know talking on this site was some form of job or English class or job. I already know I gotta have surgery to correct my neck the only question is when can’t I stand it anymore. So if you just wanted to know use incorrect English now you know. I’m just making it easier on me.

Texass has made a living off having the best athletes from top to bottom in virtually every game on their schedule. OU is the only school that has better athletes a significant amount of the games and even then it is probably only about 40% of the time.

Would be very interesting to see them line up and play A&M, LSU, OU, Bama, and a few other SEC schools. Historically Texas doesn’t do that well when talent is close. They sure don’t do well if they don’t have a big advantage in player talent. Call it culture or whatever.

Personally I enjoy playing them in College Station or Austin. Games and experiences are a blast. Half of our family are shorthorn fans and overall their B12 schedule sucks from a lack of excitement due to lack of overall fan support outside of Texass and OU.

Let’s not assume that Missouri is so against it like A&M is. As far as we know, they left the big12 and cited instability as a conference. Not disrespect from UT.

How is A&M’s inferiority complex to UT the same as Missouri leaving for stability? Mizzou doesn’t hate UT like you are claiming.

wow. A fanbase truly broken by one program.

This is actually entertaining watching the men of atm act exactly like…….the women of atm.

This could certainly be a case study. Sarge would donate to it, as well.

The offseason will be terrific Due to to this one subject.

Highly doubt Texas dropped the news. Almost certainly this came from someone in the Big 12 office who got a whiff and is trying to kill it. And yes, the Big 12 office would absolutely time it this way to maximize the Aggie red arse.

Oh, they are. Both A&M/MZ are a hard no. Even the sip sites admit as much

Call it what you will.
They’re a toxic business partner.
One program can certainly wreak havoc—and has, time and again.
Give Colorado and Nebraska a holler if you need more data points.

If you think the egos at Texas would take a backseat to the conference as a whole, you need to share whatever you're smoking.

No I wasn’t saying that at all. I’m just saying they are already running up a very steep hill because Mizzou and A&M are already No votes. So seems like they would want to show some good common sense instead of proving right what a lot of people think about them.

Maybe while they were in a conference with just 2 relevant teams, but that chit ain’t gonna fly in the SEC.

First step would be to shut down the Longhorn Network. The SEC Network wouldn’t have that.
