re: If Texas never beaten Georgia, would they still be getting all this preseason hype?

Hardly. The retention of Bob's brother squandering two Heisman QBs and two elite offenses is what stays in our heads.
Never heard a single Sooner say "Georgia got lucky" or "we didn't show up to play/weren't interested". It's unanimously about Mike loser arse Stoops and his fail buddies and what they cost us during the 7 years he was drawing a paycheck to fail on national TV. He destroyed our defense and defensive culture which we're trying to rebuild.

70+ years of mediocrity in your DNA as well as being a coaching career tar pit. How aggot....

Pretty sure aggy was simply born to lose.

Allow me to take a big hot steaming dump all over your failure of a chart.
D.X. Bible (who you conveniently left out):
Mississippi College + LSU: 13-7-2. Win % = 63.6%
Texas A&M: 72-19-9. Win % = 76.5% (+12.9%)
Nebraska + t.u.: 113-46-10. Win % = 69.8% (-6.7%)
Homer Norton won a national championship at A&M
Jim Myers coached for 5 total seasons. (the originator of that chart whined that "one year is not enough of a sample size" when I responded with Kevin Sumlin's Arizona record. Under that standard, you have to throw out both Myers and Fisher from this list)
Jackie Sherrill went 75-75-2 at Mississippi State. Win % difference = -14.8%
Dennis Franchione went 39-43 at Texas State after leaving A&M with one winning season and 2 losing seasons. Win % difference = -5.7%
Mike Sherman didn't immediately go from Green Bay to A&M. He was the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Houston Texans during the 2006-2007 seasons. Over that time period, the Texans went 14-18, for a win % of 43.8%. When last I checked, that's a difference of +6.2% from Houston to A&M. After leaving A&M, Sherman went to the Dolphins. Under his watch, they went 15-17. Win % = 46.9. Win percentage dropped 3.1% after leaving A&M. Let's not even talk about his time at Montreal (5-13)
Kevin Sumlin is 5-7 since taking over at Arizona. Win % difference = -24.5%

Anyone who has actually been a military officer would tell you that once you make O3, every one is equal and succeeds or fails based off of two things: their own merit (35%) and who they happen to work for/when they work for that person (65%).

They are Texas - they are ALWAYS overrated

You're more accepting then I am but I'm also not an idiot. Georgia was better than texas. By far. Lsu was better than AnM by far. But Georgia didn't show up against Texas because they were down from not meeting expectations in the season and AnM won because of a large string of completely awful, possibly rigged calls which led to both the longest and worst officiated game in college football history.

You sound like a guy who makes lots of excuses.

LSU and Georgia fans are making excuses left and right.

Leave it for korin to have no clue about the concept of coach and player speak. I bet he also would believe them if they said the blue sky was neon green.

They could have kept it close and still be hyped up. I'm honestly fine with them being hyped up. It was really fun last year when Miami was hyped up as top 10 team.

Since you aren’t making excuses:
What are your reasons for not winning the big12 then fleeing that conference like a scalded dawg?
Posted on 6/17/19 at 9:43 am to Korin
The fans gotta make excuses to avoid accepting the fact that maybe their team was not as spectacular as their delusional minds once thought.
Isn't that cognitive dissonance?
