you have clearly never read a noncompete clause or been under one. I have and some companies will try to screw you even after the fact. Typically they don't hold water after a year though because that is considered "excessive" and he has been away from LSU for a year. It also depends on the state and how much they like to enforce them.

Matt Rhule is in year 3 of a 7 year, $49 million dollar deal

Y’all can’t afford him.

Moorhead isn’t going to get fired in real life. Maybe he’ll be fired in MSU fans’ wet dreams at night, but not in real life.

I know it’ll get blasted as absurd, but I don’t see why Les Miles couldn’t pull a Jackie Sherrill at State. If he would come here from Kansas.
Sherrill's success at clanga came from a combination of...we'll just say "questionable" recruiting practices, plus a heavy reliance on JUCO transfers. Eventually, both bit him in the arse.

These two would be making lateral if not downward moves. No way.

Why? He was fired wasnt he?

Come on, you believed that post? I was being facetious, Miles would have never agreed to that!

I think Miles would be awesome at Moo St., which is why I said that. I don't want him there!!!! Should have been the first hire from y'all anyway! Moo St has never had what is considered "elite" offenses, and mainly have been known for stout defenses! Ta-da, Les Miles in a nut shell! And the guy can recruit!!!

Nah, I don't want him at Moo St. he will poach the crap out of Louisiana, keep that fricker "still luv him though" as far away from recruiting our state as possible!!!

Here’s my best case scenario. We retain Jovester Crxxmshead as HC because he can recruit. Pull Greg Knox from Florida as OC and grab a up and coming DC from a mid major

This guy is only a tight ends coach, which is the lowest ranking position coach.

I’ve never understood what the hell the assistant head coach title means, although I’ve always gotten the impression that it’s a meaningless symbolic title.

He would be a bad hire.

Seems like it could work. I was thinking the usual suspects. Campbell, Fleck, etc but this is a bit outside the box and sounds smart in theory.

Mississippi State is not going to be able to attract a candidate who’s already a head coach at a P5 program.

Nah..there just aren't very many P5 coaches I'd want.
