It would be worth it to see the chapped arse on both sides of the state

Give him some more time. MS State got a little big for their britches after Merlins got them to the number 1 ranking in 15. You can't come in to a program like State and expect to compete immediately. Hell, the same could be said about any program that isn't already operating at a high level

There is a thread on the Pack and one guy said he would burn everything MSU he owned. You are right - that would really make Mississippi fun to watch.

You outsiders that don't know how Mississippi works would get a good glimpse at it.

We were high level when he came in. Preseason Top 15 with a fifth year senior QB the #1 defense in the country and 3 first round picks. He lost five games. Three teams had three first round picks last year. Alabama and Clemson played for the natty. State lost to Iowa in the Outback Bowl.

I get what you are saying, but it is intellectually dishonest to suggest that he came into a rebuilding situation. That would have been Mullen's best team - second best team at worst.

This is true. I think most reasonable State fans would have understood if this season they take a few steps back but last season was a big under achievement given what they had. That Defense was for real, with just a little better play on the other side, Morehead’s specialty, that is a 10 win team at a minimum.

He took a team that was picked to win 9-10 games and has turned them into the worst team in the SEC in 19 games.

State is soft and undisciplined. We're basically aTm without the 4*-5* talent

Yea...in Mullen's system. He came in, bringing a different image for the team. That doesn't always jive with the current situation.

If y’all want to get back to the days of success under Mullen, then go get PJ Fleck, the guy is a winner plain and simple and recruits with the best of them. He would be a monster recruiter for MSU with the blue collar approach he applies to everything

Urban would be a good choice but he will likely have health issues in 3 maybe 4 years and have to retire ………..again!!

but I don’t see why Les Miles

Les Miles signed an agreement with LSU not to coach as a Head Coach in adjacent states Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi.

They should think big and get Urban Meyer
With Michigan, UCLA, USC, Arkansas, etc looking, pisstate should just wait another year. They gonna end up with a totally unproven coach.

I’m pretty sure you can’t enforce a noncompete clause against a guy you fired.

Errybody wants to look savvy and name some up and comer. Seems to me that flops more times than not.

Neither was Coach O. You just need to open the check book for coordinators and pay recruits like they do. Its the Clempson model and it works.

Moorhead should be given a fair chance. All he needs is another Saquan Barkley to carry his offense.

Give the man the 15, or so, years he deserves to get his Saquan 2.0.
