re: If Stafford wins a Super Bowl, is he a Hall of Famer?

Facts speak for themselves, he is the fastest in NFL history to reach those passing numbers, from 20,000 to 45,000 yards (5,000 years increments), he will probably be the leagues all-time passing leader if he plays another productive 6-8 years.
I was thinking of the longevity factor as well. If he plays to his late 30s, he could tack another 15-20,000 yards on in this Rams offense. That would put him up in the top 5 of all time.
So if Warren Moon, Jim Kelley, Dan Fouts, and Dan Marino go into the hall, Matt Stafford should go into the hall as well. D

For my money, Stafford's already a HOFer. He's just one of those guys who's never won on the big stage at least not yet.

I just signed up here.
Trolling? No, I was laughing at you. Now I actually pity you. I realize that this Internet message board is a very important part of your sad life. I apologize. I won't pick you anymore.
I will say this much before I go. I did notice that you did not deny my statement.

Now, I love Stafford and he is one of the 5-10 greatest Lions players, cc but there are others who were great as well.
Here number three;
Jack Christiansen

Achievements: Hall of Fame; 3 NFL 1950s All-Decade Team; 3-time NFL champion; 6-time All-Pro; 5-time Pro Bowl selection.

All of this talk about great Lions...
Billy Sims has to get a mention as well. His career was cut short due to a devastating knee injury, but he made the Pro Bowl all three seasons that he played, and Detroit made the playoffs in two of his three seasons.
As far as Stafford goes, he's always put up good numbers, but is he great? Playing on bad teams all of those years has probably hurt his standing, but he doesn't even come up high on the list of great UGA players.
I don't know that one Super Bowl win changes the above unless it is an all-time clutch performance.

It’s not just good numbers, he’s got more yardage and TDs than all but 12 QBs in NFL history. He’s gotten there faster than any of them. If he plays 5 more years there won’t be 5-6 guys with better numbers. I think adding in a Super Bowl win legitimizes the GREAT not just good stats he’s put up so quickly

Good Lord.Stafford should end up in the top 10 in career yards and TD passes.
Calvin won't even finish in the top 30 in receiving yards or TD's
GTFO with that garbage.
Stafford has 1 Pro Bowl selection (not counting that alternate consolation prize garbage). Not even a 2nd team All-Pro nod. Over 13 seasons. That's it. Sorry but a guy in the HOF should probably have more than ONE FREAKING Pro Bowl selection. You got 39 spots on a probowl roster over his 13 year career and only gets picked ONCE?
Johnson has 6 Pro Bowls selections, 3 First team All-Pro, and a Second Team. All Decades Team. Over 9 seasons.
Seems like anyone who is qualified to judge greatness in the NFL think that Johnson was the one who made that offense run. They probably see Stafford as a guy who got to play from behind most of his career building up a lot of yardage.

The Lions are a poverty franchise. It's not like Stafford is competing with players from the 49ers or Steelers
