The rule is simple. You have to have won an SEC and national championship since 1965 to be in the Big Six.
Kentucky has an SEC title but no national title.
Ole Miss would have a national title but no SEC title.
That's the criteria. The debate is whether it stays the Big Six and a potential new member knocks someone out or does it become the Big 7?
