What happens with the SEC West? All west teams lose a game, and two from the east. It wouldn't be possible to pick up another game. Would it hurt the west?

Everybody just pretends they played them and makes up the score they want to have.

Will barely be noticeable, and Cowbell will still go .500 against them.

They won't, so why even worry about it?

All their out of state kids who go there to party go somewhere else.

Enrollment dramatically declines since no grove.

Would take them 25 years to get back to a 8-9 win season.

We could pretend they are McNeese State and claim the win anyway.

I'm so damn tired of you a-holes bringing up the damn death penalty. Ole Miss isn't a repeat offender! They can't get the death penalty!

Well, they were under investigation so already, so quite possibly yes.

And even if they don't get the SMU "DP" they might be sanctioned enough to kill the program.

The NCAA has said they'll never hand down the death penalty again after seeing what it did to SMU.

If Penn State didn't get the death penalty, there's no way in hell we will simply for paying for a student's light bills

Are you really this dumb? I mean, I guess you went to LSU and all, so that leads me to think that you are (JUST KIDDING, ALL YOU FINE LSU FOLKS), but really? You think Ole Miss will either get the death penalty or get sanctioned so severely that they might as well have gotten it? Seriously?

I suspect you don't... you are just trying to rustle jimmies. And I'm just playing along.

They won't because it would hurt the SEC. The SEC is about protecting the SEC's brand at all costs. The commissioner will be pulling every string he has so that it doesn't kill the program. If Ole Miss is blasted down to SMU's level then they are no good to the SEC.

Of course I do not think they are getting the death penalty nor very severe penalties, but for a smaller school like Ole Miss, how much does it take to really hurt the program?
