OU would bring a top 3 BBall program, top 2 football program(top 5 in revenue), top 3 baseball program, and top gymnastics program to the SEC.

This is the most delusional post I've seen on here in a while.

Basketball: would be behind UK, UF, Arkansas

Football: would be behind Alabama, Florida, LSU, Auburn

Baseball: would be behind LSU, A&M, Arkansas, Florida, Vanderbilt, Carolina

Gymnastics: don't know don't care

Lets look at the Sooner sports spectrum

Men
Football = contender, could be #2 all the way to #6
Basketball = average to above average, certainty not Top 3
Running = CC, I T&F, O T&F = average to below average
Golf & Tennis = probably average but could be below average
Gymnastics & Wrestling = not SEC sports

Women
Volleyball = average to below average
Basketball = average, SEC women top to bottom is a meat grinder
Running = CC, I T&F, O T&F = average to below average
Golf & Tennis = probably average to below average
Gymnastics = average to above average, all 8 SEC schools were in Top 25 this year, hard to stay on top and Tide and UGA own this space
Rowing = ?? but with Tide and Vols, 1 more and it will be SEC sanctioned sport
Softball = competitive, would be interesting addition
Soccer = average

Sooners have no Swimming and Diving for men or women so that is a negative in a sport where the SEC does well

Sooners have no equestrian, rifle, M soccer, beach volleyball, bowling, or lacrosse.

Pac 12 would put us in the pacific time zone, when most of the collard eatin' states including Oklahoma is in bed.

Why does crap like this keep getting repeated? 2:30 p.m. games in the Central time zone would begin at 12:30 p.m. Pacific. 7 p.m. Central games kick off at 5 p.m. in the Pacific time zone.

There is no rule that every Pac-12 game must kick off at 9:30 p.m. Central time.

I just looked at UCLA's schedule last year. Picked a random Pac 12 team. They have 5 games start after 9pm central. Maybe they're not all like that, but damn that would not be fun for fans.

From someone that actually lives in the Pacific Time Zone in a PAC 12 state:

There are three primary broadcast times on the PAC 12 Networks: 2pm Eastern, 5pm Eastern, and 10:30 pm Eastern.

The EARLIEST any home game is played at a PAC 12 school is 11am Pacific.

Any game being played outside of those windows is done according to whatever network is broadcasting, with the exception that you will NEVER see a 12 Eastern home game in a PAC 12 stadium regardless of what ESPN wants.

Now you may see a change in the event that the PAC 12 enters the Central Time Zone, but as of right now, that's how it is.

1. LSU
2. South Carolina
3. Oklahoma
4. Vanderbilt
5. Georgia

Football
1. Alabama
2. Oklahoma
3. Florida
4. LSU

The SEC isn't going to accept new teams without it being unanimous. We're not a divided clusterfrick like the conference you're chained to.

STFU newbie. You haven't contributed shite but embarrassment and buffoonery to the SEC. A straight clown show.

You're just afraid of being beatdown 77-0 in the 3rd Qtr at the hands of OU again.

Lets say OU can fill 12K for a home basketball game. Congrats that puts you near the bottom of the conference. Kentucky is light years ahead of you. You are at least behind Florida and Arkansas. Tennessee and Alabama are better than you will give them credit for and LSU will knock you on your arse when they are up. However, they will crash and you will be better than them then. South Carolina is fast becoming both a men's and women's basketball school. With an arena of 18K and lots of historic basketball powers nearby you probably underestimate them. As you have never experienced Memorial Magic, you win - loss ratio against Vanderbilt will not be what you think it will be.

Not behind ANY of these teams. That's a LAUGHER!

Tide is clearly better than you and Vols will be a challenge if they get back to historic levels. Your confidence based on a league with only Nebraska (in your Big Eight days) or Texas (in your current Big Twelve days) is not the same as half dozen teams capable of a Natty in a given year. Not saying you can not win, but it will clearly not be as easy as the past.

As for baseball and softball, you greatly underestimate the power of these sports in the south. Winning a Natty is fine, but after a few years in conference the other teams would know your weaknesses and wins will be harder than you think.

quote:

-OU women's gymnastics are back to back national champions.

Are you stupid?

Gators = 4 Natty's (one split with OU)
Tide = 6 Natty's
UGA = 10 Natty's

W gymnastics is a SEC dominated sport and as a member you would be just another team instead of the only game in town in the B12.

quote:

-OU men's gymnastics are actually a dynasty.

That is nice and all, but the SEC does not sponsor the sport

They thump their chests and tell everyone on tRant how good they would be for the sec knowing all along their ship sailed in 2011 when they said no thanks to Mile Slide when he asked them to join.
Sooner it's you and Texas, joined at the hip until they throw you to the curb for the PAC 12.
