That'll never happen.

Would Gene Chizik be willing to come out of retirement and return to AU? Would AU fans want him back? He did win a natty @AU.

Auburn might actually have a decent OL for once too.

1000 yard rusher for almost a decade. Do you follow football or just post?

Belichick.

Urban.

Dabo.

In that order. In most of their brain cells.

Hey, noodle head...if one is unable to read (not required for an AU degree), it's safe to assume one is unable to spell.

It's, "Belichick". This tutoring session is "gratuit".

In all seriousness,

They will reach out to Bob Stoops again as their first choice. Don't think it will happen.

After that... who knows. Will Muschamp will certainly be a top candidate because our good ole boy network still loves Will.

Chip Lindsey could get a look, would be a similar situation as us hiring Gus. Doesn't seem like an upgrade to me.

Bill Clark will definitely be talked to.

Longshots outside of that will be Hugh Freeze and Urban Meyer.

eta: Matt Campbell will probably be in the mix too.

Maybe Freeze, but Urban isn't coming back to coach in the SEC. He might go to the Pac 12 where he can actually win it, but not to the SEC

Why do people have such a short memory when it comes to Kiffin? The guy had every resource known to Cfb at USC and failed.

Sometimes people aren't the best fit in a program. Who has succeeded at USC since Pete Carrol left?

The 4 realistic choices

1.Bill Clark- just a matter of time before he gets a big job. Would crush it at AU

2.Hugh Freeze- if SEC let him back

3.Matt Campbell- very good coach but needs to stay in midwest imo

4.Mario Cristobol- I think he would come to AU if offered but not a slam dunk. He would keep AU in the top 10 in recruiting or possibly even improve it a bit.

Yes Muschamp would still get pushed by some because he is a legend within AU circles but it hasnt happened on 3 seperate tries so why would it happen now?

Was he a bad fit at the Raiders? Is he a bad fit at FAU? Because he seems to be falling into the same pattern he did at USC. Good first year followed by a bad second year. If that continues then expect the wheels to completely come off.

If you want that great offense that pushed FAU to the moon in 2017 then you hold your nose and hire Kendall "a little rapin' is good for recruitin'" Briles.

If I was Auburn and the Gus Bus drove off... I'd look at Bill Clark. What he has done in resurrecting the UAB football program is damn near miraculous. If his HS coaching ties were in Texas or Arkansas I'd be emailing the AD every day trying to get him hired to replace Morris.

I agree. He has been better at being quotable than as a HC, IMO.

Freeze would be #1...he has proven he can beat Bama...AU would tell the SEC to screw off if you want they tried to block
