Shula found Arenas. Saban was the one who made him into a CB though. Saban also brought in Kareem Jackson, Mark Barron, Richardson, Maze etc who also having a big impact.

Sounds like Chad Jones, Brandon Lafell, Richard Dickson, Ciron Black, Lyle Hite, Keiland Williams, Jacob Cutrera and Trindon Holliday when we won the NC in 2007. All Miles players on a team Saban built. This was Miles third year at LSU.

I really hate ignorance.

Miles won a NC with a defense loaded with experienced stars brought in and coached to perfection by Saban on the defensive side. Why not just admit it? Even then he almost managed to still mess it up with all that talent.

LSU made Saban. Saban never won anything of significance before he came to LSU. Check his record. Saban is living off Shulas talent. Shula was a horrible coach but loaded the boat for Bama. Shula never lost to Utah, ULM or Miss St either.

Fixed that for you bud.

One year with Saban doesn't equal into being coached to perfection 3 years later.. Jesus... and I could give a crap about this whole Saban argument but fair is fair.

Saban recruited well at LSU as did Shula. Neither Saban or Miles should be penalized for the prior coaches players starting after 2 recruiting classes.

The truth is... This is Miles team this year 100% and 2 years from now Bama will be all Saban.
Let's judge them on that.

Let's see what people say when LSU loses 3-4 games by the end of the regular season. Saban made LSU IMO, not the other way around. He was already highly regarded by people in the know before he got there.

In some ways yes, but in some ways no. He really just got them back on track. Garbage recruiting efforts killed them during the 90s. They let numerous high caliber players like Marshall Faulk, Warrick Dunn, and Ed Reed go out of state for college. Saban just came in and took advantage of being the only major program in a state with a lot of highschool talent. It's not like LSU was Vandy or something and had never been worth a damn. They had just been crappy for 10 or so years before Saban got there. He put them back on the map kind of like what he's doing at UA.

Don't know about him being a better coach. But are you actually proud of your seats in the endzone? Those have to be the shittiest seats in the stadium!

Les Miles is a good coach and if he wins the SEC this year he should get the coach of the year award.

So no one really answered the question. If Miles win the SEC is he a better coach than Saban? Currently both still control their own destiny so this isn't a crazy question.

How about this; If Miles gets to the SEC title game this year is he a better coach than Saban?

Season is 1/2 over and anything can happen. If we win the SEC, then I hope the assholes on this board STFU and get off Miles case.

You have a better chance being the next President than LSU has of winning the SEC.

33 of LSU's 47 players on NFL rosters were brought to LSU by Saban. Do the math...

17 of LSU's 26 players that went pro under Saban were Dinardo recruits...do the math.

My point is...it doesnt fricking matter.
