Had no idea . So does university fire him. You guys always talk about all the money you have. Guess paying him off would be no issue.
Serious question, not starting crap.

The main booster who cared about basketball, Artie McFerrin, died a couple of years ago. He was instrumental in getting Billy Gillispie to A&M and then Mark Turgeon, as well as all of the upgrades to Reed Arena (prior to 2009, there wasn't even a TV in the middle of the arena).

The booster responsible for Kennedy, Sam Torn, doesn't give a frick about anything besides his church attendance and the fact that their wives are friends. Not only that, but folks have repeatedly implied that, if Kennedy were to be fired, that A&M would get severe backlash due to the fact that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's 1 month before his first season. His contract extension that he received in 2016 was monumentally stupid, as he was extended 3 weeks before the regular season ended AND given a guaranteed contract valued at $2.5 Million per season in which the buyout doesn't lower until May 15th of the current contract year. We would owe him $3.5 Million if we fired him before May 15th, just over $2 Million if afterwards.

That's why some of us are hoping for an epic fail type season to leave no doubt that he needs to be fired OR a Melvin Watkins type resignation (he went 0-16 in conference play his final year, including getting swept by a Baylor team with 3 scholarship players).

I think the coup de grace would be if Ole Miss sweeps A&M since their coach, Kermit Davis, came within a razor's edge of getting A&M the death penalty in the early 90's.

Let him have his fun. He’s still celebrating aTm’s lone, fluke victory over LSU in this decade.
He’ll crawl back in his Aggie hole after LSU puts a beat down on aTm next year in Tiger Stadium.

LSU is going to destroy the aggies this year so there won't be any melt. It will be called a blowout instead

Hard to judge and compare a new melt vs one that is still going on.

The current melt will reach Day 72 in 2 weeks.

The LSU game coming up is a lose/lose for LSU.

If they don't win by at least 23, they're worse than Missouri. If they lose, they just lost to the worst coach and worst team in the conference.

If they win by 30, maybe it will prompt a midseason firing of Kennedy.

Why not use big 12 teams as your avatar while you are at it.

No, the corn dogs should be use to losing to us by now. Especially hoops.
