Ummm, the post wasn't started by an LSU fan and the responses have come from everyone with all manner of humor, sarcasm and wishful thinking intertwined. You think A&M is the only school that can pay enough to allow an incoming coach to ignore some imperfections?
We hired the UH coach. We never had expectations of hiring the 49ers coach

He obviously meant besides Saban.
Bernie Moore, Charlie Mac and Paul Dietzel all say hi as well. Although you can make a case that Miles is the better than all of them, you can also make a case the other way too.
I don't expect an aggie to know what they are talking about but damn.

he's not going to be the coach for them next year. Thats why his name is going to be mentioned in a thread like this.

Not the first time this has happened. The last time this happened it was during the biggest game LSU could have ever wished for in New Orleans!

Jim Harbaugh is a pipe dream. The only way he coaches in college again is if it's Michigan. Once Harbaugh said no I would like them to throw money at Jimbo and see if they could steal him from FSU, but again, it's a pipe dream.
The one guy everyone is overlooking in this thread is Mark Stoops. He's doing good things at Kentucky and has proven he can recruit and coach. He'd be my first realistic choice.
you guys are always telling us anyone could win at LSU with all of the in-state talent. So which is it?

holy shite.
I am a 49ers fan. The owner hates him. The GM hates him. The locker room is starting to tune him out. He will almost certainly not be the 49er coach next year.

Ok don't get me wrong I would love to have JH down here in baton rouge, but lets be real here. We sound like the delusional UT fans that bookmarked Gruden going to Knoxville

It is. But the point is that if you're LSU, and he's available, you have to at least offer him a blank check and make him turn you down.
Like I said in a previous post, you need to have perfect timing to make something like that happen, and it's not going to come around very often (for any school), but LSU is absolutely one of the schools it could happen for if the stars aligned.

Only one of those has a NC and all of them can't even touch Miles' win percentage.

Absolutely, and, like I said above, after he says no I would like them to do the same with Jimbo.

Holgerson. He would fit right in down in BR. Although the food and the alcohol would probably kill him.

I don't think some of these guys watch much NFL

There's at least an 80% chance JH is not coaching the 49ers next year
