He didn't just enter the profession though

He coached with Saban. You honestly think he doesnt want to hoist a NC for himself?

I don't see Southern Cal offering him, but if they did then maybe.

Maybe the LV Raiders then?

Y’all and Arkansas with their “Memorandum of Agreement” ought to get a room.

USCW burned that bridge to the ground

Kiffin's daughter Presley goes to USC and she's an athlete. Lane may have a good relationship with the present AD. It was Pat Haden who screwed Kiffin at USC.

I think he'd probably prefer a Super Bowl over a college NC... and I don't see him going back to the NFL.

And really, why should he move elsewhere to win one? He has Ole Miss humming. They beat fricking Georgia last year; that's a pretty good benchmark to hit.

He has openly sought LSU..just last time LSU did not want him! If this scenario plays out again..I expect there would be interest!

I believe this is some good ole boy circle talk BS.
Why would he want to go coach some place Saban built and just left.

On his doc he said it wasn't the AD's decision, it came from above.
That bridge is burned.

USC west fired him. OM has lower overall expectations then UF or LSU. OM will put a statue up for him at some point even if he does not ever win a natty

I love all the passive aggressive shots at ole Miss like “he won’t leave because he doesn’t have to deal with high expectations there”

LSU - won’t have an opening for probably 3 years at the earliest unless Kelly retires. We have an affinity for quirky coaches, but our fanbase is filled with psychos.

UF - feels like a good fit but their admin seems like they would have trouble with lane.

Auburn - I don’t see why lane would walk into a rebuild.

USC - unless he’s desperate to get back to Cali I don’t see it. Hes matured alot since his last job there but who knows what bridges he burned.

Show us where Lane Kiffin said he had actually accepted the Auburn job and then reneged because of his daughter. Thx.

My take on all these 'Kiffin is going to ____" threads is that lots of people think Kiffin is a great coach, and they want him to coach at their school. At the same time, these same threads talk about how no one can win at Ole Miss and what a second-rate job it is compared to their school. So, that pretty much makes the first part of their argument crazed.

Lots of panties in a wad over a man they keep saying is a great coach but hasn't accomplished anything at a terrible program.

Kiffin knows what he wants according to all the reports and the ESPN documentary, and it's not to move around anymore because of his family and the complete freedom he has at Ole Miss compared to other schools where major donors throw their weight around. Every season, the same threads about Kiffin. And every year, he stays and his program gets better and better.

No way in hell a grown man goes back after what they did. Not if he has an ounce of pride or self respect.
