Don’t worry, Heupel will put his foot in the gas again when y’all play UTEP in November. Onside kicks, trick plays, all while you have a 30 point lead. He is a very aggressive coach when playing cupcakes, it’s only when he plays decent teams that he suddenly becomes a little bitch who gets outcoached

Tennessee offense only had 332 yards total offense and got a good chunk of that on two big plays. Arkansas defense was terrorizing Vols offense most of the game.

You played conservatively because your Oline and QB were scared. I could see it in Nico’s face.

Tennessee punted the ball 7 times. These were the down and distances.

4th & 8 (Was 4th and 3, but got a delay of game penalty)
4th & 9

I don't see a shirtload of 4th and 3's that you guys chose to punt.

Forgive him.

Your problem is, like many other Vol fans on here assuming you are actually are, you fail to realize that Nico isn’t the savior yet and may never be. It was only his 6th career start with four of the six starts on the road. His only two home games were against scrubs and didn’t prepare him for SEC play. Your NC aspirations weren’t built on reality just the fantasy that he could go out there and drop fiddy on every opponent. This was always going to be a 9-3 or 10-2 if they were lucky type season

I don't think it's Heupel being conservative.

Tennessee's offense isn't complicated. They run the ball a lot and in their passing plays rely on the running game bringing the safeties up to have success down the field. If the safeties don't come up, the only things open are short passes.

Arkansas never really brought the safeties up. They gave up a few big runs (particularly one 50 yarder) but were largely able to limit Tennessee's running game without committing fully to stop it.

UT's offense simply doesn't work well if you can do that.

Nico didn't help things in that he took some sacks he shouldn't have, but the reality is UT's offense is totally reliant on the running game working against a base front. It's not an offense that really can have success in the passing game without first running the ball well.

What is somewhat surprising is that Arkansas had the ability to stop them like that.

Arkansas defense is vastly underated. Expecially the D Line

This is a top 5 Dline Ark has had since joining the SEC.

Problem was, you couldn’t get that last TD or FG you needed. He also allowed them to score and it backfired.

They for sure were on Saturday. I thought this game was going to be a lot tighter than people thought.

Arkansas deserved the win. They played great.

Remember when I said you hadn't played anyone and your offense looked like shite against the only decent team you played, and all you Tennessee fans said I was scared?

Let me get this straight for the last 3 years and you can tell me if there is a theme.

2022 - Hendon Hooker is the next Heisman, a week later he should be benched for Joe Milton

2023 - Joe Milton is the next Heisman, a week later he should be benched for NICO.

2024 - NICO is the next Heisman, a week later he should be benched...

Common denominator here? Heupel and Tennessee football in general

You are who you are
