What will the message be? That the committee got it wrong or UGA did not care enough?

I for one am pulling for FSU (my hate for UGA is too strong).

If you aren’t in the playoffs your bowl is essentially meaningless. It’s been that way ever since 2014.

No one cares, since LSU started the movement of players quitting before non-playoff games.

Win or lose, the Committee got it wrong.

They knowingly and intentionally fricked over FSU who had earned their spot in the CFP.

They did it for $.

No matter what the outcome is, that is what happened.

FSU should say frick it, we ain’t showing up, tell The Almighty Committee to play Georgia.

FSU has a hurt QB…how could they possibly win (like they’d been doing)?

I hate the “we didn’t care” excuse but there might not be a more ‘nothing to prove’ game for UGA and a ‘let’s show them why they were wrong’ game for fsu. That game could easily be a blow out and no UGA fan would be surprised. Our season ended Saturday.

If UGA has all of there players play in the game(I’d be shocked if they didn’t) there is a 0% chance FSU beats them with an offense that struggled to score against Florida and Louisville.
If UGA has multiple starters sit out I’d still be shocked by FSU winning but if they did we have to consider UGA having all draft eligible starters sitting out as the reason for the loss.

We all know that if Georgia isn’t playing for the MNC, then they dont care and mail it in. REF: See 2019 Sugar Bowl

UGA will be using their bowl game to prepare for an attempt at a championship next season.

UGA will care, but will be not have their guys going to the NFL playing unless they're fully bought in. It's more a reflection on next year than a culmination of this one.

non-playoff bowls don't mean shite anymore.

Any NFL draftees will sit out so whats the point? You beat a non-motivated UGA team with no Bowers and about 8 other guys?

Wisconsin going to pump their chest for beating LSU with no Daniels, Nabors and Thomas?

The AP has FSU at #4 and the Coaches poll has them at #3. If a 1 loss team wins the CFP and FSU beats UGA, I wouldn't be shocked if the AP, Coaches or both put FSU #1.

The CFP winner will be recognized as the official champ, but FSU will stake claim to the championship.

Our bowl game will be a glorified scrimmage. I predict the number of our starters who won't play could be in the double digits. The game means nothing.

Offer stands till then

I have seen several people say this. And in reality, if they did do this they would probably never be invited to another bowl game. Which bowl game do you think would want to take a chance on them not showing up? They would damage their reputation and their fans would not tolerate it, either. They (the fans) might scream that is what FSU should do, but if game day came up and FSU did not show up the fans would riot. Especially the ones that spent money on hotels, rental cars, flights, food etc.

Should we take a look at Florida's recent bowl games now?

2022 Oregon St. 30 Florida 3
2021 UCF 29 Florida 17
2020 Oklahoma 55 Florida 20

But sure. Go back to a bowl in 2019 to make your point.

+1. You can decline a bowl invitation. However, I think FSU will indeed show up and represent. They could end up being ONLY undefeated team in college football in 2023. Can’t take that away from them.

If Liberty beats Oregon, what will the message be? Liberty got screwed in this deal. Undefeated conference champion and left out of the playoffs, just like FSU.

If both teams show up with full rosters, and the want to win, Georgia will beat the breaks off of FSU.
