I would think he has already made the case for coach of the year, regardless of the Georgia game.
But they will also beat Georgia so I am sure that helps.

Even if they lose to UGA he is still COTY. UF was a dumpster fire and he made them a contender with Muschamps players

I realize that a Coach winning a title at a scrub school like OSU is pretty impressive - that makes him what the the 3rd Big 10 head coach in 40 years to win a national title? But give me a break, try to find a little perspective even a minor program like the Buckeyes can compete from time to time.

They were #2 in the country 3 seasons ago and won 7 games last year. That's certainly not up to their standards but don't act like they've been in ut/au type depths for a decade.
