They'd be picked to go 11-1, and the road game at Bama would be the biggest game of the season.

People would be interested in the Fla and Auburn games as well, along with the A&M game.

In other words, basically the same as LSU currently, and how LSU had been perceived until the last couple of seasons.

You can bitch about schedules, but you can't pick on Clemson too much considering they rolled Alabama in the last title game, and return the top QB in the country. They're elite.

Oh, and yep, LSU would be in the playoffs with their schedule. As would UGA, Auburn, likely Florida and A&M. That's just the way it is.

You really want to talk about big OOC games? Really? No one wants to try that convo against OSU. OSU plays anyone anywhere

They couldn't do it as consistently as they have but they would have gone undefeated or 1 loss and NCG at least once in the past 5 years probably twice.

Lay down the drugs
Since 2012 you have only played one ranked OOC team during the regular season (Oklahoma x2)

Texas is overrated. Florida sucks.

We just demolished the SEC champ and beat Texas A&M with a C effort.

LSU hasn’t been relevant in going on a decade. When you beat an actual contender we’ll talk.

Remember you didn’t even score on Alabama last year.

Good post until the last line.

Florida and Texas A&M would drop multiple games in the ACC.

Finished 6 last year. Sitting at 4 right now. Was in a title game 8 years ago

If they had a month to prepare like they do for the playoffs, maybe. Lets’s see them do it week after week in the SEC West with road games at Bama, LSU, Auburn, A&M. Hell, even the Cowbell Palace gives Bama fits.

Would they go unscathed EVERY year and go to the playoffs? Absolutely not. I would love to see them go perfect vs
Texas
Bama
Aub
Florida
and SEC title game vs UGA

Sorry, wouldn't happen every year. Now that Clemson is in the title game every year because they rest starters, don't have the injuries, and have a h.s. schedule....they get top recruiting classes because kids want to play in a title game. Clemson would never be at this level if they played in a REAL conference

44-16.

I agree that they play no one, but they play the schedule that’s given to them.

And 44-16.

It's unlikely they are the same team later in the year after playing a brutal schedule. Injuries, especially minor ones that just linger, are much more frequent in the bigger and more physical games.

Additionally, when you have to take multiple teams best shot your weaknesses become exposed. But when you play teams who aren't capable of exposing any part of the game, you stay protected.

It's no coincidence that none of the "BCS Buster" teams have done anything since they've joined bigger and better conferences. All that extra PR, Money and...they have all declined. Because they are playing better teams week after week.

I'll never understand why people just throw SoS away like it means nothing.

Clemson is very good but how often do they play hard hitting teams that wear down players and/or cause injuries. That matters. They may win out SECW schedule (maybe) but their players would show the wear & tear by playoffs.

Clemson is the National Champion and beat the SEC Champion by 4 td's in the finals last year. They have earned the benefit of the doubt.

Agree ACC sucks today...we play an easy schedule relative to SEC however Two seasons ago, Clemson won a NC beating tOSU 31-0 and beating one of Bama’s best teams in the Natty. All after playing a gauntlet ACC schedule plus Auburn and USCe rated as toughest in the country (Louisville FSU VATech Miami NC St all finished top 20 in 2016).
Clemson has proven it can win a NC playing an SEC level schedule.

We shouldn’t really deny what Clemson has done.

But it’s a definite reach for Clemson to come here saying that your two toughest games are ACC when in fact, they are two sec teams.
Then string 8 together and you’ve got problems you don’t normall see in a shite league.
Im also very confident that the sec will never be as shitty as the ACC is today. Never.

I think 11-1 and a conference championship would get you in the playoffs...

Out of curiosity, who are the multiple ACC teams that would beat A&M and Florida? Multiple is more than one, and remember, we're removing Clemson (it's a swap).

Well the whole world just watched Florida struggle with a mid pack ACC coastal team with a new coach and tons of freshmen. I think it’s safe to say they would lose a few.

Texas A&M is just a couple years removed from losing to Wake. They are overrated and doing nothing but riding the SEC hype machine. We coasted against them while playing terrible on offense.

So you think it’s brutal playing Missouri, Scar, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Miss St., and Texas A&M?

That’s 10 of the 14 teams in the league and none of them are better than top 20-25ish teams. Most aren’t worthy to be ranked.

And you’re saying that’s brutal? Lol

You inbreds SEC homers are delusional.
